When my phone rings after a night drinking with my best friend, I had no idea my whole world was about to change.
"A book is missing," a deep, unnaturally enticing voice growls down the line.
Panicked, I race out to Dragerfield Library, breaking all the rulesโ€”even if a book is missing, we're only allowed on property during the day.
But if I don't find that ancient tome, I'll be fired anyway.

"๐’€๐’๐’– ๐’”๐’‰๐’๐’–๐’๐’… ๐’‰๐’‚๐’—๐’† ๐’˜๐’‚๐’Š๐’•๐’†๐’… ๐’–๐’๐’•๐’Š๐’ ๐’Ž๐’๐’“๐’๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ, ๐’‰๐’–๐’Ž๐’‚๐’."

Too late to retreat, I soon learn why the rules exist. Dragerfield is a doorway between worlds. A doorway to Risest, the Faerie realm. A realm they access at night.
And I'm the moronic human who wandered uninvited into their midst.
The fae use humans for two reasons: entertainment, and well, you can use your imagination for the other.
Even worse, the voice on the line that set all of this in motion is no ordinary fae. Drager, with his dragon scales and smoky scent is one of their gods. A Fallen Five.

๐‘ด๐’š ๐’๐’†๐’˜ ๐’„๐’‚๐’‘๐’•๐’๐’“.

A missing book is the least of my worries now.
I'd thought I was about to be fired, but instead, I'm heading to Faerie.
And it might be a one way trip.

Gilded Wings is book one in a fae/dragon shifter romantasy series. This book is not a standalone and is recommended for 18+ due to language and adult situations. Blurb and cover coming soon.

Hmmโ€ฆ. Wellโ€ฆ. Iโ€™m not sure how to rate this one, itโ€™s such a mixed bag for me. Maybe a brief synopsis will help explain my conundrum (then, for those who know me, it will be obvious).

Morgan, a very likable MC, gets a phone call in the middle of the night telling her a book is missing from the (very) private and mysterious library she oversees. She races to find the problem before she is sacked and instead finds a huge, panty-melting God of a being and discovers the library isnโ€™t what it seems. She is immediately caught in a month-long, fae induced, sex-fest with said God, after which she is taken to Fairie to help uncover the culprit(s) who might be trying to destroy their world.

From that beginning the story kinda slows to a semi-crawl, while the world-building must be explained and we dither around introducing all the dangerous creatures. She is even enrolled in a fae school to teach her the basics (felt like a steamy adult turned YA academy at this point). Near the end we are introduced to the brothers of the dragon-god and that introduced all kinds of fun and interest and the story immediately became engaging again.

Unfortunately, the story just ended at that point. Literally stopped in the middle of the progression. Now, in Ms. Eveโ€™s defense, she does warn readers that this is the first of a duology, but stillโ€ฆ we just walk off the page? And, just for your information, there is a love-triangle/maybe RH in the making. Not sure what I think of that - depends on which way it goes.

SOPEโ€ฆ There are really promising and good parts, mixed with many iffy ones. *shrugs*

NOT a fan of the writing style or characters.

The writing is very informal and sounds like teenagers talking; so much โ€œdudeโ€ and โ€œweirdโ€ and โ€œbestieโ€ that itโ€™s hard to believe the main character is a fully-formed adult. She internally monologues that sheโ€™s struggled with being physically attracted to other people and has lost hope thereโ€™s anyone out there for her. If only this was a romance novel, amiright?

The FMC decides to make a night trip to the library she works at after receiving a call from a voice sheโ€™s never heard saying a book she left outside of the restricted section is missing. She heads there without any damn shoes on because sheโ€™s been out for a night of drinking and apparently has no sense whatsoever. She is concerned she MIGHT be blamed for the bookโ€™s alleged disappearance and fired, so she decides to sneak into the restricted section which she knows will ABSOLUTELY get her fired. She continues on this mission even after arriving at the library and seeing there are people inside. The logic here is astounding.

The FMC quite literally runs into the owner of the mysterious voice as soon as she opens the door of the restricted room. She realizes he is the mysterious owner of the library, who looks inhuman but ignites her dormant lust gene. She accidentally knocks herself out running away when he starts spouting stuff about being a God.

FMC wakes up to find her best friend/coworker arguing with the God. Apparently everyone at the library but her is a supernatural being and theyโ€™ve been leaving her be because she followed the rules and didnโ€™t go where she shouldnโ€™t. Since thatโ€™s clearly no longer true, the question is what to do with the human who now knows too much.

The FMC forgets any fright she may have been feeling to lay into her best friend for being a lying โ€œcatfishโ€, ignoring the fact that she is the one breaking and entering and the God mentioned killing her as a consequence. I lost all interest in continuing at that point; I can see this is going to be one of those nonsensical stories with a dumb female lead being led by the nose and getting away with terrible decision making skills for plot. This is not final girl behavior; I stopped reading at 10%.

DNF 48% into the Audiobook

Started off entertaining and then slowly fizzled out. The heroine's inner monologue was on the annoying side. The hero is bearly with her, except for when he wants to bed her. I wanted them to exchange witty banter. Hell, I'd accept a full conversation where he doesn't threaten her. Can you tell I simply didn't like him? Her BFF was also pretty bland. The world building was also pretty meh.

I wanted to like this so much and I thought I had a winner in the first 30%. Turns out I was wrong. I've been pushing myself through this book for the last 20% and I'm tired of it.

Drager & Morgan: A Disappointment

This is a really painful review to write. I was so hyped when I saw this book being marketed on IG and the teasers were too much for me to resist. This is why I wasted no time in preordering GILDED WINGS. I couldn't wait to read it! Unfortunately, after reading it I was left very disappointed.

GILDED WINGS is the first of a duet from Jaymin Eve's "Fallen Fae Gods". Morgan Starrer is a librarian, charged with keeping up with the records of Fae books checked in and out of a library. She soon finds herself in the middle of an investigation into a missing book. Its then that she meets the owner of the library, Drager, a powerful sun god and dragon ruler of an entire territory in the Fae realm. There was an instant attraction resulting in fireworks between them. Morgan ends up entering the Fae realm to help solve the mystery of the missing book and reveal a traitor.

This book started out really good. It was funny, sexy and had all the potential for a very interesting story. I thought it possessed that "Shadow Beast Shifters" energy that I loved and I laughed out loud at certain parts of the book. By the time I reached the middle of the book, I felt as if I was knocked upside the head when the story took a very unexpected turn; the introduction of another possible love interest for Morgan... his dragon twin brother, Zahrek.

Personally, I prefer not to read books with love triangles and feel as if I was misled by the blurb and hyped advertisements promoting this book. There was NOTHING to indicate that there was going to be a triangle. Had I known this, I would have opted not to engage in this story.

While I don't believe that an author has to hold a reader's hand by posting every single trigger warning in the book, I do expect an author to reveal the basic notion that the heroine may have multiple love interests. I don't consider multiple love interests to be a trigger per se. But I do think that info is vital to decide whether or not I want to read a book where there is a competition for the heroine's affection. I felt as if I was blindsided. The other potential love interest showed up smack dab in the middle of the book. Out of nowhere, which ruined any type of build-up or admiration and cheering I'd done for Drager and Morgan. This development was a huge let down and I immediately lost interest in the story. I stopped and started this story a few times I was so annoyed and had to force myself to finish it.

Further, I disliked the fact that Drager and Morgan spent very little time together on page. It began to feel more like "The Adventures of Morgan & Lexi" as she seemed to spend more time on page with her best friend. To give Morgan and Drager less time together on page and then throw in a third MC who she is all of the sudden attracted to in the last few pages was in my eyes, rather ridiculous. At this point, as if it were even more impossible, I became even more annoyed by the cliffhanger at the end. I simply did not enjoy this story and have no desire to proceed to the second half of this series.

I am a huge Jaymin Eve fan and will continue to buy her books. I'm sorry... this storyline was already thin considering Morgan's main purpose for entering the Fae realm in the first place. But, the secret reveal of a love triangle basically destroyed any admiration I could have had for this book. and the characters just didn't work for me.

Happy reading!

This was.. definitely a book!!

The first 40-50% was very tropey and kind of boring, but interesting enough to keep me reading. Around 60-70% it got much more fast-paced and I became more invested.
The language in general was a little too modern for me, with a lot of "besties," "dudes," and "bros."
I understand contextually it made sense since she was human and grew up in the modern world, but it was still off-putting.

The characters were very cliche and the story was predictable but enjoyable. I had a lot of fun reading it and connecting the dots (even if they were kind of obvious.)

The FMC, Morgan, was a bookworm which obviously made her very relatable. It was amusing watching her interact with a fantasy world as someone who had spent most of her life with her nose in a fictional fantasy world. She would point out tropes as they happened and it was pretty funny. I liked that though she was kind of shy and she was a fish out of water, she would always reach a point where she said, "I have to do this for myself," or "I cannot allow myself to be treated this way."
She often stood up for herself which was good because I cannot standdd pathetic/meek FMCs.

Drager, the MMC, was very.. interesting. His character seemed very cut and paste. What was going to happen felt very obvious from the beginning. But I really can't go more into that without spoiling it lol.

Overall this book was good, but forgettable. Fun in the moment but I probably won't think of it now that I've finished it.

Tropes if you're interested:
- fated mates
- touch her and die
- human x powerful fae
- bookworm fmc
- dragon shifter

He was the sexiest, scariest, most desirable being Iโ€™d ever seen. The fact that he was more inclined to kill me than fuck me and I still found him sexy was something to add to the list for therapy. If I survived the next few hours, I would finally make that appointment.

I have read and loved many of Jayminโ€™s previous works (Curse of the Gods is one of my all-time favorite series, and Shadow Beast Shifters is one of my top rejected mates stories). Gilded Wings is another excellent example of her weaving an intricate story around the fated-mates/enemies to lovers tropes.

Iโ€™m obsessed with dragons, so give me a book with a dragon shifter, and I am all in! Especially when one has such a fancy peen to work with (and magical abilities to make-it-fit).

There is extensive world-building in this fantasy romance โ€“ with a rich history of the fae world and the beings who inhabit it. My only complaint is that info dumping impeded the flow of the plot. The story started out fast-paced but kept getting bogged down in the details. I loved learning about the fae types and their magical abilities, but I really wanted to get into the action! Action and smutty times.

The book begins fast-burn and spicy but slows down after the initial mating frenzy Morgan and Drager find themselves caught in. Itโ€™s initially a MF romance with the potential for more (I love RH, so I might be biased in wanting to add any available male into the harem, even if itโ€™s not to be, le sighโ€ฆ).

Pretty significant cliffhanger ending; I cannot wait for book two.

Genre: Fantasy Romance
Tropes/Features: dark elements, extensive world-building, fated mates, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, captor/captive, dragon-shifter fae god MMC, human FMC, fae-warrior BFF, fancy peen, make it fit, size difference, possessive MMC, touch-her-and-die
Narrator: Single 1st Person POV
Relationship Type: MF+ (MF with potential for more), fast-to-medium burn, spicy (fancy peen)
Book Type/Ending: Book one in Fallen Fae Gods duet, cliffhanger
TW/CW: None listed in book

The h is a very special snowflake, a human in fairyland, her only superpower is a magical p*ssy that can take a forearm length male genitalia.

Apart for the h inner monologues that are non-stop and filled with nothing, all side character have the strength of tissue paper and are only there to express how the h is great and amazing, (everyone loves the fluffy human), even the supposed MMC is very bland!

Boring, a lot of world building that really doesn't matter.

This story is supposed to be MF, but is heading in the RH path!

In out!

The beginning of this book was definitely a slow start. But alot of romantasy books are slow at first.
It definitely speeds up the further you get into it.
I was not a fan of the short chapters. Some of which are only 3 to 4 pages long.
Overall I really enjoyed this book.
An I will definitely be jumping into the second one once it is released.

It was okay.

I was a bit disappointed with this one and there are a few reasons why. First of all, I'll talk about what I did like:

- A romantasy book lover gets to actually live her book dreams.
- The plot of this book. There is a lot going on that I was excited about. Gods, faeries and an academy!
- I liked the amount of different fae involved. Every kind of fae imaginable.

Things I did not like;
- Alot of talk about the FMC childhood and having a controlling narcisst mother but this isn't delved into at all and so leaves the reader to think, well what happened? What trauma do you actually have?
- The fertility tradition DID feel rapey. And the FMC said this but it was okay because she's attracted to the MMC. This was ick
- Despite the FMC being 25, she was very juvenile and for me this made her very unlikeable. She was not mature at all and if she was 18-20 then her personality would have suited her better.
- The world building, it was lacking and very basic and this was disappointing considering they are in faerie with so much magic and fae
- I absolutely hate Drager. The whole time i was like, are we supposed to like him? And then when we kept meeting Z I was like gosh please oh please be similar to ACOTAR with Tamlin and Rhysand and make Z her mate. I am going to riot if they both become her mate and the story becomes why choose. Drager is infuriating. He doesn't have any sort of personality, is extremely bland and broody and not in a good morally Gray way that we all love. He has tamlin the tampon red flags, I'm going to lock you away for your safety vibes and I'm not here for it
- Drager and FMC had no chemistry at all. Another reason that I hope it won't be why choose. I mean if he really was her mate then he would be the one coming for her in danger right?!

I am keen to see where book 2 goes regardless. 3 star review given the things I did not like.

She lost me when she used his giant dragon cรธck as a handle to sit up from lying down. That was after suffering miserably throughout the first part of the story.

The dialogue in this book made me want to melt my brain just to forget it all.

You can find this review of Gilded Wings on my blog, Heart's Content!

A big shoutout and thank you to the author, Jaymin Eve, and Peachy Keen Author Services for the complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review!

I realize I havenโ€™t spoken too much about Jaymin Eve before, but sheโ€™s long since become an author whose work I follow with a mild-obsession. I loved her Shadow Beast Shifter seriesโ€”Iโ€™ll admit I only read the Shadow Beastโ€™s story though. However, I had so much fun and add my best friend in this mix and we were rolling with laughter and just couldnโ€™t wait for the final book in the series to release. The series is fully released (lucky brats, the lot of you), available for free for Kindle Unlimited subscribers. You can thank me later.

So when I saw Jaymin Eve post about Gilded Wings, I dived into the form that would give me a chance to be a part of the blog tour. I loved the author, I loved the blurb and I loved that it was a brand new seriesโ€”though I realized this later. Special mention to the fact that the heroine loves books and works at a library (Iโ€™d rather not talk about the level of jealousy this small factoid raked up).

Just as all other Jaymin Eve books, Gilded Wings too is so easy to sink into. The book has maybe one or two chapters that can be categorised as introductory. The story basically springs into action and the way itโ€™s arced is not one that I would have expected. To say I was surprised would be putting it mildly. If yโ€™all donโ€™t at least raise your eyebrows, text me, we need to have a talk about the kind of books yโ€™all have been reading.

The plot I think is very slow to reveal itself and it certainly wasnโ€™t anything I expected. The world is layered differently and follows completely different rules, so itโ€™s hard to see the story coming at you. In your defence, youโ€™re facing forward and storyline hits you from the back. That being said, I do think book two will bring more details with regards to the plot and story arc; but book one definitely laid the foundation for it.

The world building I think happens a little slowly and then all at once, somewhere in the middle. I will admit this is where I lost a little bit of interest, because thereโ€™s was a lot of information coming in about the world but I wanted to know more about what was happening currently. But, but, but, if you wait a bit Jaymin Eve brings it right back and I dove straight back feeling the book all over again. There was this incomplete feeling I sensed, like there was more to what was happening on page and I realize now perhaps Jaymin Eve wanted us to feel that way. If she did, she has succeeded, because when she brought those extra somethings I was looking for, I was like โ€œYep, this is it. This was what I was looking for.โ€

The pace, objectively speaking, remained the same throughout, but the only time I struggled was for the above mentioned reason, but this might not be true for every reader. All of Jaymin Eveโ€˜s books have always been very fast paced, with lots of humour, action, plot-twists, mind-twists etc. Gilded Wings was honestly no different in that regard, while still maintaining its own personality thatโ€™s very different from the other books that Iโ€™ve read in the fantasy genre written by Jaymin Eve.

Now, for the characters. I think I would compare the character introduction to the way the world building unfolds: slowly and then all at once. However, I will say that itโ€™s alright if you donโ€™t remember everyone all the time, mostly because the most important characters you will remember well and the new ones will make sense with the context in which the interaction is taking place.
Among the primary characters, Iโ€™m choosing to speak only about the heroine, simply so that you can go through the rollercoster of shocks and surprises just like I did. Morganโ€”bless her soulโ€”is both rather relatable (and enviable with that librarian job of hers) and a wonderfully throw hands character. In her defence, I do feel like her situation pushes her to act-first-feel-later. My favourite thing about a heroine is them being real. Anyone that can say โ€œIโ€™m going to stay right here, I know for sure that thereโ€™s no way Iโ€™m not going to get killed otherwise and Iโ€™m also not going to be of any help right now.โ€ balanced with knowing when to step in, I can get behind. Be smart, people!

So, to conclude, I loved where the book was going and I canโ€™t wait to see whatโ€™s going to happen in book two and Iโ€™m sitting here wondering how this is going to end in book two. Shouldnโ€™t this be a three-four book series at least? Wishful thinking? Maybe.

Four and a half stars! Happy reading! Check trigger warnings, my friends. Nothingโ€™s worth emotional pain. Also, I have so many highlights on my Kindle for the quotes I likedโ€”there are some real gems in hereโ€”that choosing one was my biggest challenge. The book is funnnnn. Kindle Unlimited subscribers, run. This book is absolutely free for you! Gilded Wings is also out in India!

I devoured this book.

Itโ€™s only missing a star because of how this ends and then not having access to the next part straight away has thrown me. Itโ€™s not so much as a cliffhanger more like Iโ€™m missing the second half of the book. I loved the build up, loved the angst and then we rush towards everything happening and boom. Itโ€™s snatched out of our hands.

Love the MC. Itโ€™s hot. Thereโ€™s spice (chefs kiss).

So ready for the next one.

Okay, I got an early copy of this book because I was excited to read it.

It features dragons and faeries, a fantastical world of faes where the dragons rule their world. A good one-time read if you love romantasy. Jaymin has a good writing style, however, this one didn't grab me as much as I expected it to.

I remember enjoying the Shadow Beast Series by Jaymin Eve the first time I read it. While reading this one, and drawing up similarities between both the books, somehow I couldn't get into Gilded Wings. The heroine loves books (Similar to Mera) and the grumpy hero is uber-powerful and thinks of other beings as weak. It also has a library that is a portal to other worlds, similar to Shadow Beasts.

I was really hoping for the heroine to show some character growth, but as the story progressed, I felt like she was only driven by the 'attraction' she felt for the hero. There's something that happens and traps them both in a ritual of 30 days. I would have liked to see some parts of the ritual, that somehow changed the emotions of the heroine - I feel like this part was a pivotal moment for her, and we don't see how it shapes her emotionally, all of it was mostly physical.

The story kind of gets boring with the constant backlash of Drager's (the H) hot and cold attitude towards the heroine and the heroine's 'stand' of not wanting to fall on his d***, but falling for him all the time and then getting hurt at his coldness. It's also revealed that she might have another 'mate' - who was more intriguing than Drager, which says a lot.

Edit: The author says this book is purely M/F .. dangggg it

I will rate it 3 stars because I was intrigued by the brothers, their world, and their politics. It ends on a cliffy and I do want to know what happens next.

First off, this dedication is one of my favorites...don't pet the bunny. ๐Ÿคฃ Gilded Wings is Jaymin's new series full of fae in all shapes and sizes, humans, and gods / dragons. It's the first book in a duology, with the potential for more books per Jaymin's Facebook page.

If you like action packed, spicy books, fated mates, enemies to lovers, potential love triangles, fantasy, fluffy / scary mythical animals, and found family this book is for you.

โš ๏ธโ€ผ๏ธSPOILERS BELOWโ€ผ๏ธโš ๏ธ

Our FMC is Morgan who is a human that works in a privately owned library (that's not to be entered at night under any circumstances) with her best friend Lexie. This book starts with Morgan shelving books at the end of the night. As she was putting away one final, but special, book through a door slot to a room she was not to enter when she heard a voice through the door. Later that evening she is pulled to the library by the owner of the library, livid that she "lost" the book.

Currently the MMC is Drager who happens to be a god/dragon/fallen that landed in the fae realm of Risest over 200 years ago. Drager and his 4 brothers are the rulers of 5 separate territories in Risest. Things get ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ between Morgan and Drager. Eventually, Morgan is brought into this crazy world because she is the only person who heard the voice in the special room and is brought to Risest to help weed out the traitor that Drager is paranoid about.

Along this journey, Jaymin does an amazing job world building, throwing in some problematic situations they need to work through, and meeting some spectacular characters that I can't wait to see more of. Some of the notable characters include Dragar's brothers (Zahak, Kellen, Emmen, and Ty), Mika, and Professor Malik. Things get incredibly tense between the brothers and Morgan based on multiple incidents happening around the realm and their thoughts and feelings on humans in general. We find out that the brothers have minimal memories before coming to Risest. This book seems to follow the journey the brothers are on and how / why Morgan fits into the picture better than a human should. Throughout this adventure, Zahak seems highly invested in her for no known reason. She even finds herself being protected by Zahak's ally, Astra who happens to be a rare mythical sabre which incidentally are known to hunt fae. As a normal Jaymin Eve book, it leaves us on a cliffhanger with Morgan confirming the traitors voice, the brothers knowing who the traitor is, and everyone being split up. Also, it leaves us with both Zahak and Drager vying for Morgan's attention. The question is, which one will win? Or will it be both? I personally cannot wait to see more of Astra and how the brothers continue to interact with Morgan and how she plays a role in this world.

giving an extra star for having Zahak <3 minus four stars for making me climb up mount everest to get to the main conflict and then just ending the story there. i can't believe it took 190 pages to get interesting.

i felt like it was finally reaching it's potential when the MC enrolled into fae university (in the final quarter of the book). i thought we would finally get adequate world building and lore on all the different kinds of fae that live there. but no, it was glazed over in favor of introducing a love triangle :eyeroll_emoji: and then boom, war starts. but actually it doesn't because that's where book one is over.

i really wanted to like this book but it was a tough read. very slow start, fanfic-like dialogue, MC and the love interest interact like six times, spicy bits weren't even that spicy.

overall just underwhelming considering the hype it got on booktok.

I donโ€™t understand all these really high star reviews. I couldnโ€™t make it past 25%. It just felt juvenile and like it was trying too hard to be quirky and smutty and high fantasy and dark but didnโ€™t achieve any of it.

No plot, immature and nonsensical MC, shallow side-characters, improbable dialoguesโ€ฆ I have the feeling the author just rushed in a vague plot to get an excuse to write all the smut.

I think I've read only a few books by Jaymin Eve before. I don't really know why. She's a big name in the reverse harem world and her books get recommended a lot. However, I don't think people ever recommended her books when I asked for new reads. This book found me all on its own though. I saw some character art and it was love at first sight with this library girl and her dragon. Luckily my paperback copy arrived a lot sooner than I had dared to hope!

I absolutely loved the beginning of the book. I loved the library, I loved the two girls working there and being best friends. I loved the vibe of two women maybe not having everything, but still being happy with the things they do have. I also liked a missing book being the catalyst of our heroine discovering that the library is not just an ordinary library and that there is a whole other world out there with dragons, Fae and other magical creatures.

However, I also feel like the elements of this story didn't get the attention they deserved. It feels like the romantic interest(s) of this book are still vague characters we barely got to know on a deeper level. It feels like the world is one big chaos where everything is possible, but where we never really get the chance to just wander around and explore. It also feels like the plot makes an appearance once in a while only to disappear again for a some time.

It somehow feels like this book tries to combine too much. Fated mates, reverse harem, Fae politics, academy, portal fantasy and so on. And although I especially quite liked our heroine attending this school, especially because it helped us to understand the world better, I think this series could have easily been a few books longer and then all the individual elements of the story had gotten way more time to shine. And maybe then I would have also fallen in love with the guys.

But who knows, it happened more often that the second book in a duology is brilliant while the first book is not. I'm entertained enough to at least give the sequel a try!

A spicy fantasy romance with dragon shifters, fae and a book loving MFC, yes please!

I loved the MFC Morgan, sweet, thoughtful and strong when needs to be and the female dynamic between her and her bestie Lexie is great. They support and build each other up as it should be, but not always the case in the real world.

Did I love the MMC Drager? Well, didnโ€™t love him but didnโ€™t hate him either. His character is hot but heโ€™s also arrogant, he did have some good moments and he is a dragon shifter so there might be hope for him yet.

We find out Drager has 4 brothers and one of them is Zahak. Holy dragon babies. Heโ€™s a broody and darker version of Drager, hotter too in my opinion and he seems to have an interest in Morgan. Will they end up fighting for her in book 2, will it become a why choose? I need to know so Iโ€™m glad book 2 is already out and I can start it right away.

I thought the world building and plot was great and the spice only added to the story. A reminder of why I like Jaymin Eveโ€™s books.

He was every book boyfriend Iโ€™d ever dreamed of wrapped up in one package, and heโ€™d probably be the reason I died today. If there was a walking red flag in a book, that was my man. Apparently, the same went for real life. Typical.

Thanks so much to Jaymin and Jane for my e-ARC of Gilded Wings! This is actually my first time reading a paranormal/fantasy book of Jayminโ€™s but Iโ€™ve been such a fan of her co-authored books with Tate James, so I knew I was in for a treat! Our story starts off on a quick pace as we meet Morgan, a librarian for a private collector that she doesnโ€™t know too much about. Enter Drager, her walking red flag of a Sun God thatโ€™s sheโ€™s just a bit too attracted too from the get go. I adore Morganโ€™s inner monologue about the whole experience ๐Ÿคฃ she pretty much says all those random things we like to ramble, especially about alpha men. The world building was well done and easy to follow as Morgan ends up in a Fae world and is having to contend with all the things that sheโ€™s up against there as she helps Drager hunt down a thief โ€” โ€Iโ€™m not Australian, girl. I donโ€™t have experience living amongst dozens of creatures that can kill me with a thought.โ€ ๐Ÿคฃ I do llove that Morgan isnโ€™t completely ready to fall head over heels for Drager considering their mortal/Fae differences and that heโ€™s a bit of a tool bag at times lol she does have some solid self-respect which is great when it comes to the dragon-shifting god. Her best friend Lexi is an awesome side character and so supportive and considerate of Morgan, she really helps the dialogue along. Also, Iโ€™ll just drop a little name for you โ€” Zahak. Yeah, yeah I want to know alllllllllllll about this one ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ The sexy times take off pretty quickly ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ and I can tell theyโ€™ll heat up as the series progresses. Iโ€™m still shell shocked by the ending!!! My god! How am I supposed so wait for book 2???

I am so confused. Fortunately less than 30 hours till I can read the second and final book.

โ— Spoiler alert โ—
Is this a love triangle or a why choose situation? How come they're both her fated mate apparently? I'm also still a bit wary about her possible pregnancy tbh. Especially after Zahar saying she can't be entirely human when she's his/their fated mate. Means the fertility month thing could hold some consequences. Also wtf was up with that? I literally don't see a reason behind that if not for a possible pregnancy.
