The dancer.

The victim.

The sister.

I’ve worn a lot of labels over the years. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to escape. I hid in my dance. I ran away from my life as much as I could. I fought to be somewhere else, even if I couldn’t be someone else.

One night, after my partner lashed out at me and I’d been hurt, the Vandals took me and never looked back. They introduced me to a world I had no idea existed and a family so much greater than the one I’d been trying to survive.

I gave myself up once to protect them.

I’ve fought for them.

I’ve bled for them.

I’ve killed for them.

And I’d do it all again if it keeps them safe.

My name is Emersyn Sharpe.  I was born Ivy Hardigan.  When the Vandals kidnapped me, I had no idea how life-changing it would be or how I would find real love. More, I found my place in this world.  To have the future I want, I will finally wage war on the past.

FIERCE DANCER is a full-length mature dark, new adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. The dark romance aspects of this tale continue. Please be aware some situations may be uncomfortable for readers. Trigger warnings can be found in the foreword should you require them. This is a why choose novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This is book nine and the final in the series.

I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

I am so confused… we read 9 books for THIS to be the end of Emersyn’s story??

This series started to take a nose dive from book 4 onward. With each book, the author was throwing in more characters with added drama that was taking away from the plot and our FMC.

WE ALL KNEW JD WAS SUS SINCE DAY ONE. That was NOT a surprise.

King - I actually really liked Em confronting him and she was starting to ask all the burning questions we had - why did he recruit a bunch of teens from prestigious backgrounds, why did he set up Milo and have him go down for rape, why did he abandon Milo and Em?

We got no answers after all that build up for this character. He just faded out of existence after giving up the location of Fuckbucket. Even though he seemed to act like he gave somewhat of a shit about Em. He said that they would meet again and she’d get answers, but we never see this on page! What an absolute waste of a character and time!

Realistically, Fuckbucket could’ve been dealt with 3-4 books ago. Realistically, King’s history could’ve been dealt with well before the final book. Realistically, the series could’ve been wrapped up in 5-6 books and been a decent read.

And that epilogue? The last line was about Em swallowing cock. Is this really the HEA we were all expecting after labouring through 9 books!? I sure as hell wasn’t. I was expecting a satisfying conclusion after 9 books. Instead, we got an orgy.

I will not be reading Milo’s story to get answers about King. I really dislike author’s pulling shit like that. It should’ve been addressed in this book at least for Emersyn’s sake.

This is a review for the whole series: 👎🏽

I've read the untouchable series and this is definitely a downgrade.

Why so many guys in the harem? 😫 honestly not everybody can execute that well and im sorry but this author didn't here. I completely lost track of who was who, the only differences between them were who was teaching her what and I didnt like it.

This 9 books could have easily been 1 or 2. Barely anything happens. I was all for the drama, tension, action, danger, but I didnt get that. Instead, I got to see EVERY character repeat the same information over and over and over again from "different" perspectives... pff! The first book really had me interested but then towards the last books I found myself skipping chapters and reading just the first and last sentence of them to know what was "going on" = nothing.

Her repeating her story to every one, one at a time had me SO bored. Like heree we go again, as if nobody knew what had happened to her. You dont need to hear her telling every detail to know that she was abused by her uncle. Why is everyone acting so surprised...

I hated the addition of lainey in this books because we have so many guys in the harem I thought it a wate of time to her to know the bff that steals away time from the guys, to get to know them! Also since there are so many we had to go over every one's tragic past and it was dragging, predictable, and overall I didnt care.

She is an aerialist and how many times did I see her on the silks? I think max 3 times in 9 "books"

I thought the idea of this story in general was a good one. Interesting, sounded like fun. It didnt deliver.

I cannot believe this series is over!

Ever since the first book came out, I felt a connection with Emersyn (and even some of her men) as she has dealt with some of the same things I have and I was so happy to read a story where she would get all the love and support that I wish I had…

Since a story isn’t all sunshine-and-rainbows, the journey of Emersyn and her men was long and ever evolving. Their unique dynamic made for a interesting, emotionally driven and super entertaining story. I feel like every question I had was answered and the story came to an end so sweetly but in a way that fit them. The characters are super depthy with many layers and I feel like every book showed us a different side to them that we hadn't yet met.

If you’re looking for a series that is action packed, suspenseful, and gripping, 82 Street Vandals fits all of those categories and more! This book never failed to surprise me or make me feel everything. It's a crazy journey filled with outrageous shenanigans, steamy chemistry and swoon worthy sweetness. I laughed till I cried, cried because apparently I'm an emotional wrecked and rooted for these characters and their HEA. I mean they really did deserve it after everything.

Fierce Dancer by Heather Long is a reverse harem romance. This is the ninth and final book in the 82 Street Vandals series.

I absolutely love this series! Heather does an amazing job pulling me in from the first chapter and keeping me hooked until the very end. She did a great job wrapping up the series.

I really enjoyed getting Emersyn, Kellan, Doc, Vaughn, Liam, Jasper, Rome, Liam, and Freddie's point of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I would recommend this series to anyone who loves dark romances, enemies-to-lovers romance, new adult romances, reverse harems, or romantic suspense.

Wow, I can't believe it's over, not only that but I didn't bin the series after five books cos I was bored, which usually happens!

Emerson got her HFN ending, I'm sure we will hear from her and the guys in the future because we are definitely getting Lainey's story. I love Ball Cracker it will be so great to get to know her properly.

Plenty of action in this one, was on the edge of my seat after the cliffhanger from the last book. Tenterhooks throughout waiting for Justice to be served, and served it was.

Anyone who has enjoyed the series will definitely find this book a satisfying conclusion.

Oh wow has this series been a journey. The up and downs. The pain and hope and the fight of love for these characters. I cried and laughed. Emersyn and her guys definitely fought for their ending. It was perfect. And amazing and worth this journey. I adore all these characters and how they interact and flow. The cameos are amazing and the new characters are curious. It was just a great read, a beautiful ending and a tough journey. I will absolutely miss these amazing characters.

I hate to say it, but I was kinda disappointed with this finale. Admittedly, I got a little less invested with each book but this felt so rushed and left some rather large plot holes not tied up.

Back in March 2021, I read a book called Savage Vandal. Picking it up, I thought "this sounds cool, I'll give it a go, see if I like it." Fast forward to May 2023 and I'm sat here sobbing because my 26 month obsessed has had to come to an end. The end of the Vandals and the end of ANOTHER era in my bookish world!

9 Flawless books
1 Fierce Dancer
7 Sexier than sin 82nd Street Vandals
1 Brute of a brother
1 Ball-wrecking bestie
1... Bodhi... 😂
Countless enemies and hurdles overcome
Endless beautiful bird nicknames and infinite amounts of love

Man, there really is something so very special about this series. I can sit and explain everything I loved over and over, y'all can read my previous reviews to get a grasp on how deeply I love these books but truthfully, nothing I say will do it justice. After each book I've been mesmerised like its the first time I've met them all again.

The guys, the relationships, the love, the protecting, the boy banter, the character development for every single one of them has been extraordinary. Emersyn, Jasper, Kellan, Vaughn, Freddie, Liam, Rome, Doc and Milo have been formidable and the ending of this book was so damn perfect. I read the last chapter and was about to slide right into Heather's DMs and demand two things I've been waiting 9 books for. And then the epilogue made all my dreams come true!

I've said it throughout, and now after finishing the series I can still confirm that Rome and Freddie truly do own my heart. I love them all, but these two are perfection and make me weak at the Knees. Rome is so beautiful will forever be her silent strength, and Emersyn and Freddie are made for each other, identical in every stunning and damaged way. The peace Freddie has now was worth everything we went through in 9 books to get it.
I desperately wanted Milo to get his HEA too and I feel like he did, his happiness rounds everything off perfectly!

And what more can I say?! 82nd Street Vandals, thank you for the pleasure of being on the greatest RH series I've ever read! 🫶🏻

Fierce Dancer is the 9th, and final book in the 82nd Street Vandals. Please check warnings as there are some dark themes that shouldn't be ignored. And just a quick PSA, this will likely be long as I could go on for days. Cliff notes version.... absolutely loved it. 100% recommend the series!!! Otherwise, read on.....

I can't believe that after 2+ years, multiple harrowing, jaw dropping, downright mean and totally awesome cliffhangers, awe inspiring wins and totally devastating losses, that we have come to the end. I am actually listening to the audio at the moment, so I don't know but maybe that's why it just doesn't feel real. I am aware I am only prolonging my agony but I just can't seem to let go. Honestly probably won't. These Vandals have become one of my all time favourites.

Seeing this world unfold has been truly amazing. Each and every new part of the overall storyline pulled me in and I often felt like I was right there in the middle of it all. Watching Emersyn slip and fall and then pick herself back up, while trying to break the chains of her past has been a rollercoaster that, now and again, left me feeling emotionally hungover and it just showed me how invested my heart and mind have been to feel this so strongly.

Kellan, Jasper, Vaughn, Liam, Rome, Freddie and Doc each have different facets of themselves that just appeals to all the senses. They are (fictionally) human, with flaws and all, but in my eyes, I could never pick an overall favourite. They each have said and done many things that have made me swoon. Ah the beauty of whychoose!!!

As I said in the beginning, I could go on for days, so I think I might just leave it here by saying brilliantly written, character growth and world building is out of this world and while I'm sad Emersyn's journey is over or just beginning, depending on how you look at it, I am jittery with anxious excitement for Bay Rigde Royals!!! Can't wait.x

I really really really didn’t want to let Emersyn and her Vandals go, but that final sentence 🥲
These guys have gone through so bloody much together, there’s been kidnappings, asylums, near death experiences, explosions, loss (to name a fe things) and ultimately heartbreak! 😫 although this is Syns story we’ve got to learn about each of the guys and what’s shaped them into the protective, possessive and passionate men they are now…none of their stories are pretty, with some worse then others, but the love and support they have for each other as a family is just incredible 🥰
Not only that but they have an incredible wider network of friends who all make an appearance in this last book to help them bring down Uncle Fbucket! (Cannot wait to see where some of their stories go….especially with the King 😬😬)
It was never going to be easy and the demons keep on rising, especially when a certain bird keeps waving a red flag 🚩 but the guys get the vengeance they need and Syn her closure!
Despite the tears of saying goodbye …Honestly this was all you could want and need for the Vandals and their phoenix ❤️
This series will be re-read OFTEN!

I was so lucky to receive an arc copy of this book. I fell in love with this series and its characters from book one. After the cliffhanger from the last book, i could not get my hands on this book soon enough. Watching all of these characters grow, heal, and create their own perfect family through all nine books has been amazing.
This book had all the feels. They were so happy building a future together but still had to deal with their enemies and get vengeance for Emersyn, those they had lost, and themselves. There were several times I was ready to cry (both happy and sad tears).
This was a very satisfying ending to one of my favorite series. I will definitely miss these characters. I hope there is a possibility of seeing them in the future, maybe in someone else's story. I would love to know more about Milo and also Doc's friends. I am always ready to read more from this world.

This book comes with a content warning in the forward, please heed the authors advice.

Book 9 picks up where book 8 ended, and I’ll admit, I held off writing this review so I could come to terms with the conclusion of Emersyn’s story. I have read this entire series, right from book 1. The character development of Emersyn, especially the Vandals - Rome, Liam, Jasper, Freddie, Kellan, Vaughan, Mickey, and Milo, has been magnanimous.

It all ends here, or does it?

Emersyn and Milo find themselves in a situation perpetrated by Emersyn’s uncle Bradley. Between life and death, Emersyn makes a choice, one she doesn’t regret, and when the Vandals realise that they didn’t make it to there rendezvous point, discovering a traitor from within, do they spring into action, coming to the aid of both Emersyn and Milo. It leaves an indelible impression on all of them.

Reginald Sharpe pays his dues, only for Emersyn to come face to face with her biological father, Jeff Hardigan, aka Julias King. He attempts to insert himself into her life, but the Vandal’s, more so Milo’s protective instincts, kick in, keeping as much distance from him as possible. Emersyn uses her voice, she won’t be denied, she has a fire inside of her, only when Julius compares her to her biological mother, does she not bat an eye at the reference.

Plans are made, reinforcements called in as they pool their resources together for a fight they may not come back from.

A surprise, one Emersyn didn’t see coming, a joint proposal from Liam, Rome, Jasper, Freddie, Kellan, Vaughan and Mickey leaves her overwhelmed with emotion, each pouring there love, and heartfelt thoughts into words, as they share with her, how much she means to all of them. Which leads to a court house wedding like no other.

And then it finally comes down to the moment they have all been waiting for, where Emersyn returns home, home to where it all began. Emersyn comes face to face with her past as it collides with her present. Where the Vandal’s watch her fight her thoughts, feelings, and emotions, knowing what she endured within these walls. But they remind her that she is not alone, that they stand with her, and will be with her right til the very end.

And in the end, they raise it all to the ground, Emersyn’s past now cinders and ash, her uncle Bradley now a distant memory. But for Emersyn and the Vandals, what comes next is healing, as they decompress from everything they have been through.

Mickey is finally able to grieve for his sister, Ms. Stephanie and Liam, his father.

From pain comes rebirth, as the Vandal’s rebuild. Kellan’s automative work shop. Doc turns his sisters place into a safe house. Emersyn is going back on tour. Then, he opens her own dance school and finally Vaughn’s new tattoo parlour.

And the moment we have all been waiting for as we finally get that long awaited group scene between Emersyn, Rome, Liam, Jasper, Kellan, Vaughn, and Mickey. And boy do they show her a very good time. But the bittersweet moment goes to Freddie as he finally gets his moment with Emersyn, as he puts aside his own doubts and fears, does he allow himself to experience something so profound, in return does Emersyn show Freddie what it feels like to be loved by her.

Long live Emersyn and The Vandals.

And with that ending as bittersweet as it was, it is our sincerest hope that there will be future stories, stories waiting to be told about our other beloved characters, and for that I cannot wait to see where they go.

Highly recommend both the author and the book!

I received an ARC. Therefore, I am leaving a voluntary review.

I have so many feelings right now. The Vandals finally got the life they all deserve, and Emersyn has a life she never dreamed was possible. I absolutely adore every single one of them, and the way they all adore Em. She deserves every good thing in life and they are determined to give it to her. I love the way they all grew to become exactly what she needed. And the way they all healed their relationships and became closer than they ever thought they could. One of my favorite things is the way they all support her in everything. They want to hide her away and protect her, but they know that’s not what she needs. She needs to face her tormentors, and be a part of taking them down. They have all been through sooooo much throughout the course of this series, and I’m so happy with the way it ended. And that whole birthday scene 🥵🥵 This is utter perfection and I have loved every moment of this story. Even when I wanted to throw my kindle across the room lol

Emersyn and the guys have finally got their happily ever after and I thought I wanted that and was ready for it…but alas, I was NOT ready ya’ll!!!

In this final book we finally get to see he whom shall not be named meet his demise😡 THAT! I was so here for it💯

We see the guys settle into their lives with Em and our girl is finally at peace. I loved this series so much and was sad to see it completed, but all stories eventually must come to an end and this one was bittersweet😩💙

DARK I mean PITCH BLACK / Why Choose / Romantic suspense (light on the Romantic)
⭐⭐⭐/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

Check your trigger warnings!!! This is not a recommendation for this book ... This is a must!!

It seems fitting that this is my hundredth read of the year. Completing my reading goal for 2023.

I started this series on April 26th, 2022 and it was one of my favorite series. I was recommending it to so many people, book groups, etc... Savage Vandal, Ruthless Traitor, Vicious Rebel, Dirt Devil, and Brutal Fighter were all four-star reads for me. But, something changed in Dangerous Renegade that made me feel differently about the series. I had an internal battle on whether I should or shouldn't read the last three books. I struggled with each one of them. I felt I needed to be able to put this story to bed so I read this book.

How much is too much? After reading this book there is definitely an answer to that. 7?8?9? I don't even know how many there were at the end but it was way too much.

Also, there is a huge chunk of the storyline that goes on finished?

The characters are wonderful I love each of them individually. I just don't like the choices the author made.

As a survivor of CSA, I can understand how I might look at this book through different eyes than others.

That being said I am glad that it's over, It was a wild ride.

- Ratings: - (For the entire series.)
Characters: 5/5
Spice: 5/5
Story: 4/5
Pacing: 5/5
World: 5/5

Series Overall: 4.7/5 - WHEW... we made it. 9 (relatively long) books and I honestly didn't really tire of it. Where it ended was a good point though. I think to continue without a solid pause would have been a mistake. Seeing as there is so much to cover, I'm going to break this down and expand on just a few categories.

Would I recommend this book: The whole series, yep.
Would I re-read this book: It's a long series so likely no.
Would I read future books by this author: I'd definitely be willing to come back and see more.

If you haven't read all the books in this series STOP! Go back and read them all first! This one begins just before the end of Reckless Thief.

While we all know the dire situation Emersyn is in, we are taken back to where she is leaving with Milo to be safe from the events that are about to begin.

I really loved this part since we get to see them as they really get to know each other as siblings. The protection, love and devotion that comes so naturally for Milo, is beginning to show in Emersyn. It's still new to her, this having a brother. They actually talk about everything, including Lainey, very interesting.

It's a lot of driving and it's the next morning as they are approaching the meet up that all their internal alarms go off, this isn't right, this is an ambush.
We get to see all the interaction before Bradley Sharpe orders his men to bury her. She had her bracelet, Liam would find her, the guys would find her and Milo.

Back at the clubhouse, another piece of the puzzle was beginning to unfold as Freddie, Vaughn and Rome watch JD and the rats pack up the last of the trucks to be sent out. Freddie senses something off but can't quite put his finger on it. As they are discussing the tattoos Freddie wants, they get a surprise, their mole wants to break out their prisoner. The Mole is exactly who I thought it was. Nah not telling. But Kellen's phone is compromised, and things go into motion to get to Milo and Emersyn.

With both Emersyn and Milo back at the clubhouse, although Doc has had to keep Milo sedated, Emersyn is in far better shape. Jasper and Liam have been dispatched to collect Lainey and Ezra joins them as well. Liam and Ezra spend much of the flight at each other's throats. For Lainey it's a relief when they land.

A reunion of sorts ensues, as Jasper and Liam see Emersyn awake. Tears and hugs then Emersyn along with Lainey and Doc they go to see Milo. Love Lainey and her kickarse attitude.

Downstairs is a waiting game as they wait for all their allies to show up and Emersyn joins them.

With their forces gathered they begin to formulate a plan, the first thing needed is Bradley Sharpe's location.

There is plenty of sizzle in this one as they all welcome Emersyn home again. A surprise is an apology from Adam to Emersyn for trying to keep Lainey away from her. He also has a mission that could interfere with theirs. His current boss, who no knows, wants Julius King aka Jeff Hardigan dead. In the last book you will recall that he is Milo and Emersyn's father, although they haven't let on they know the truth. That is for this book and trust me it was awesome the way Emersyn handles him and gets the promise of a location of Sharpe from him.

One of the biggest standouts in this book is Freddie, his growing relationship with Emersyn truly moves forward in giant steps. I also love his bird name it's truly perfect for him.

This book is a building crescendo of suspense, intrigue, romance, and the finale absolutely superb!

BRAVO, Heather!

O.M.G…loved Fierce Dancer and the whole 82nd Street Vandals series!! The ending was everything. I think it was perfect for sooo many reasons. Heather mentioned in her Afterword that she thought she wanted to limit Emersyn’s RH to 6 but I think that 7 worked perfectly or should I say that they all fit her perfectly. I couldn’t imagine it turning out any other way. Thank you for not killing off Freddie he totally made the story work and not just because he his pain reflected Boo Boo’s. Shrike as his bird name worked perfectly but then again all of the guys had names that fit them to a T. All of their names for Emersyn were too. To readers, no matter which book or should I say where you are in the series just know that you really need to read the whole series and in order!! If you haven’t started then I highly recommend you start. This is one series that have definitely moved me to laughter, tears, frustrations, made me run the gamut of emotions. Fierce Dancer is no different. Emersyn and the Vandals have all grown so much from beginning to the end. There were a lot of drama, angst, tears, laughter, secrets, revelations, twists, turns, things going sideways, growth, and soo sooo much heat in Fierce Dancer and the whole 82nd Street Vandals series!! I do have one warning and that is to please read all of the trigger warnings. The whole series is labeled as a dark romance for a reason. As you can tell I very highly and very sincerely recommend Fierce Dancer (only if read after all the previous books in the series), 82nd Street Vandals series, and Heather Long as an author!! I do have to say that I would love it if Lainey, Milo, Ezra, and Adam were to have their own story as I think they deserve it. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🙏🏼🙏🏼 I can’t wait to find out what is happening in Party Crashers (part of Blue Ivy Prep series) which I believe is Heather’s next book. Heather is definitely in my top ten favorites author’s list for a variety of reasons but I think that 82nd Street Vandals and the Untouchables series are perfect examples of why!! Happy Reading!!

Nine books is a lot and so I am only going to write a series review not an individual review for each book. The series started out with 5 stars but then it got boring and did not have enough interesting things to keep my attention. Books 6-8 can be completely skipped. I read them but after reading them I felt they could have been skipped.

There were a lot of things that happened thought the series that were not needed the most annoying one being her mother. Throwing her mother's rescue and recovery in the book was way too much I didn't care enough about the mother for it to be worth reading. Also when I read RH I expect each guy to be completely unique and distinct and have different personalities so they don’t blend together. In this series, the guys all blend together. There was only one of her guys who stood out and had a completely unique personality and he became by far hands down my favorite guy Rome. I also loved how unique Freddy was but I considered him a friend in books 1-5 so I don’t consider him one of her guys. The biggest problem red flag with this aeries was how long it took the guys to realize who her abuser was and for them to take nine books before they get rid of her abuser is way way way too long. When he was not gone and still a problem in book four I lost a lot of respect for the guys.

I would give books 2-5 and book 9 ⭐️5 stars. But when you add in all the filler things that happened thought the series that were not needed it becomes a 3-star series that being said ai am a sucker for unique nicknames and tattoos. Both of which the book has lots of so I am putting the series at ⭐️ 4 stars. The reason it gained a star was because each guy had a truly unique and beautiful different nickname for the heroine. The other reason for gaining a star was how much detail the author goes into describing each of Romes's art pieces and the guys and the heroine's tattoos. The author did a great job painting the picture in my mind so I can give the series ⭐️4 stars!

Finally finished this book and thank f¥ck it's over honestly this series started off so good but just got dragged out and now I absolutely hate it 😭 I can't wait for Milos book but I honestly need a minute before it comes out so I can stop hating on this series and honestly the author atm because why do such a big Rh if you can't handle all of them? Like it felt like only 3 to maybe 4 of them were getting page time and the fact that Em picked one of them I don't care what anyone says she picked Liam and took his surname she could have had vandal (like she did joke about)or even her original name but nope she chose his. Considering a man was the cause of her all problems throughout this whole series starting with King and ended with the uncle I was annoyed that a man had to be the reason she got her own money anyway and Liam just p*ssed me off as soon as we met him it felt like it was the Liam show no one really got a look in and I'd of loved to see more of Rome he was my favourite but honestly where was he? Where was any of the vandals if your name isn't kellan Freddie liam or doc you didn't get a look in and three of them wasn't even a vandal doc wasn't till book 8 Liam left to be a royal and Freddie got a bird name in this book BOOK NINE 🙄🤬🤬🤬 honestly what was even the point of this series 🤷🏻‍♀️

🤬 🙄 oh and the uncle did not suffer enough considering he's the main bad guy... And what happened to the king? And did Em even ring him like he asked her? And where was Freddie and Em 🥵🥵🥵 I've been waiting the whole series for this and all we got was a BJ at the end 🙄 honestly so over this series massively over it 👍 and that ending wasn't even a hea just an orgy like great I put myself through 9 dragged out book for that cheers 🙄👍

Doesn't even deserve 1 star but gotta give it something 🙄 Rome can have it for the flowers he got Liam adotived mum because that's was sweet 😍

5⭐️ 4🌶️

I am both thrilled that Emersyn and her boys have their happy ending and deeply sad for myself that it’s over! I’ve spent 9 books, 1,000,000 million words, by their side as they battled enemies and trauma while developing a deep love and unbreakable bond. But let’s step back for moment and see where we left off last time…

Heather definitely likes to leave us on some cliffies throughout the series, and that was the case at the end of book 8. Milo and Em were in a rough spot, but no one betrays the Vandals and gets away with it for long. And they finally learned a hard, but valuable lesson — always stick together. With a couple enemies still on the board, it was time for them to call in all of their allies and start strategizing. Number one priority: end the uncle. When a tip falls right into their hands, it might be just the break they need. But is the enemy of your enemy really your friend? Or is this a trap to lure them all in?

This final book gave me all the wonderful Vandals banter that I have come to expect, along with the suspense, romance, friendship, brotherhood, and even the evil f*ckbucket. It was great to have Lainey, Adam, and Ezra back with the gang — and even Bodhi who makes me laugh constantly.

Emersyn, Jasper, Kellan, Vaughn, Rome, Liam, Freddie, and Mickey: I’ve never seen a group fight so hard for each other, and there’s never been a group more deserving of love in the end — “head up, wings out!” And Heather did give them a perfect ending ❤️

I know there is another series planned called Bay Ridge Royals that I am hoping follows Lainey, Milo, Adam, and Ezra — but that is just me hoping at this point. There were some strings left dangling with the Royals that I imagine will be picked up here and I am already anxiously awaiting that series launch in September! I can’t get enough of this world!

"Head up, Wings Out."

I drew this book out as long as I could. Only reading a few chapters a day because I didn't want it to be over. Even though I've been reading since the beginning of this series and I want these characters to finally be happy. It's still hard to believe that we've made it to the end of the series.
I finally finished late into the night. And immediately messaged Heather to thank her for the beautiful ending she gave to the Vandals.

The way these characters grow over the nine books is amazing. Watching Emersyn grow into herself with the support of the men in her life was everything. From Jasper kidnapping her in the beginning, one of my favorite long running jokes of the series, to her being happy about staying with the Vandals. All of the strength that she discovers but in a new way. She's been surviving in a life that was anything but perfect, despite what others saw on the outside. Her strength became about growing into herself and not just pure survival.

Each relationship was unique. I loved all of them in their own way. How she connected with and made each of them a better person. I don't usually have standout favorites in a series but there was just something about Liam, Rome and Daddy K. I loved being in their heads when we were reading from their POVs. I've said it since the beginning: it's about how they each compliment each other. The brotherhood of being a Vandal.

This series has got me through so many ups and downs in my own life. I clung to this series as a comfort when I was recovering from surgery. Coming up with wild theories and trying to decide how the series was going to in. Did I call it? Yeahhhh, no. Despite reading the majority of Heather's books, she always has a way of leaving me in suspense.

It was a perfect ending to the series for my Vandals.

It's so bittersweet, ending this nine for journey. It was such a satisfying conclusion. And overall such a satisfying series. When something's been in your life for so long it's hard to let go. But Heather makes it So it doesn't feel like you are saying goodbye. It makes it seem like it's the end of this story and the end of their chapter but characters start of "beautiful life together" I love how Heather always says "happy endings are a work in progress" So I like to think of these characters out there living their best lives and also living realistic ones as her characters always do. Heather is great with bonuses and her books crossing over kind of being in the same universe which is great. So what I've learned with the untouchable series ending is that it still feels like the characters are with me, And they still pop up..

Again that said it was a great conclusion. I love how we skip to a couple weeks a month and then year then year etc in the future and get little glimpses.

But of course I'm talking about the ending before talking about the overall book. It starts off where the last book left off, So right gate It sucks you in with telling us how we got to, The cliffy of last book. And then going into What happens from there. Heather's books are always so well balanced with plot action suspense and with well-ridden characters and relationships.

This book was everything I wanted from the conclusion of Vandals. It took me longer to read it than normal not just because I had been sick but because I just didn't want to let go but I've got to trust Heather because like I said above she does it in the perfect way to where it feels like it's the completion of this story but not the characters. I am fully satisfied ❤️ The series will always hold such a special place in my heart and always be read/listen.

As always highly recommend this series, I'm so excited for more from this world with Lanie and her guys story coming this fall. Also don't forget to read the author's note and all the way to the end there's always some good stuff if you read all the way through 💜

82 Street Vandals as a series has been a war, a war with my emotions pulling them in so many different directions. The Vandals would lose a battle here or there, but reading their story, feeling everything alongside them, their victory is bittersweet. Never have I ever, been as happy as I am for a FMC and her love interest/interests to get their Happy Ending. And yet, after 9 books I’m still not ready to let them go. Emersyn and her Vandals will forever stay close whether that’s in my mind or my heart. Each character has carved their own little spaces into my heart, you can’t not love them and you won’t be able to pick a favourite. They are all so incredible. Emersyn is ‘Strength’ personified, after seeing it all, learning it all, watching her become the Phoenix she is, has been beautiful to read. I loved getting to see more of the side characters that I’ve come to love, and seeing just how much they love the Vandals. I love the found family, with the side characters and with the harem, the RH being one of the best that I’ve read. The connections, not only with Emersyn but that the guys have with each other and as a group are incredible. It’s why I struggle so much with picking a favourite, you can’t have one, without having them all. I love that Emersyn and the guys all have the love they deserve.
This book was the perfect conclusion to a phenomenal series. It made me smile, it made me teary, and made me laugh. I cannot express enough just how well written this book is. It is brilliant.

Is it too soon to do a reread?

I’m praying that I’ll get to see the Vandals in other series’. Highly recommend!

My heart. I can't believe this series is finally over... It was one of the first series I read when I started reading again about 18 months ago and Emersyn and her Vandals will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was just the perfect ending to an amazing series.

I remember when I was against adding Mickey and Freddie into the fold. I thought 5 guys is plenty, Mickey is too old and Freddie is too... Freddie? I don't know, he was just a goofball and I liked him, but not in a spicy way. Boy how did Heather change my mind over the course of these stories. Freddie soon became my favorite alongside Rome and while it took Mickey A LOT longer to get on my good side, I ended up loving him too. I can't imagine Emersyn without any of these men in her life.

I loved watching her Uncle fall from grace. The revenge was so sweet, but I also appreciated that Em's troubles and nightmares didn't just cease when he ceased to exist... Her trauma lived on and I loved watching her overcome it bit by bit. I also really loved the mini epilogues before the big one, a little bit of growth for everyone in tiny time jumps that had me smiling from ear to ear. Of course the big finale epilogue was absolutely amazing, and those last lines had me tearing up. I could have had 9 more Vandals books and still not had enough of these characters.

The amazing news is that Lanie, Milo, Adam and Ezra sound like they're coming up next along with taking down the King. I. Can't. Freaking. Wait. But in the meantime I suppose I'll make do with Party Crashers *wink*

Once alone, now beloved by many. One name headlined shows, another was her name at birth but the names that mean the most to her have been bestowed by the men who kidnapped her, saved her, love her. When they found her she was broken. There may always be a broken piece. But she's no longer the scared girl they rescued. She's strong. Now she can fight alongside her men for the lives they want. Now she's a Vandal.

Boom! We made it to the end. A most satisfying end. Emersyn, Kellan, Doc, Vaughn, Liam, Jasper, Rome, Liam, and Freddie. Milo. Lainey, Ezra, and Adam. Bodhi. Alphabet, Lunchbox, and Voodoo. The King and Uncle **bucket. There are a ton of chess pieces on the board. There are a lot of characters to keep up with. Heather Long does a remarkable job resolving this story and tying up loose ends. Mostly. I don't think there's a proper balance among the men and no one gets enough time; it's just not possible but it's enough. I don't love that there wasn't a resolution with the King but I suppose she wants to save this for Lainey's men to tell. While this huge cast is difficult, it is also the strength of the book. Each character is beautifully developed and each had significant growth. The men may have started out saving Emersyn but she saved them along the way. Emersyn made each man a better man and made them a stronger family together. She had always had to be strong to survive but they made her feel safe for the first time in her life, so she could recognize her strength. They also gave her a reason to live. They set her free to fly.
