Book two picks up where book one ends and all I can say it goes off with a bang!
Malia’s identity and who she is has been revealed.
Unfortunately that is not the only thing she has to contend with, the ball, where men of power vie for her hand in marriage. She needs to keep a united front, but it is not easy when confronted with people from the past.
Liam feels the sting of betrayal, he doesn’t know who to trust and who to believe, but when he stakes his claim on Malia, for all to see, he doesn’t know if it’s the best or worst decision of his life, for he has painted a target on his back, he definitely has a death wish for sure.
Donovan now understands the importance of his role and the responsibility of his actions and what he does reflects on the empire as a whole, for his father has expectations and traditions that must be respected and upheld, for he will not tolerate disloyalty.
However, Tawny’s duplicity is uncovered, as Liam comes face to face with The Omen, where Nathaniel reveals to Liam the truth behind what happened to his parents. He is in disbelief. Nathaniel promised to protect Liam at all costs, for Liam was not meant for this life, and Nathaniel has failed his friend.
Yet, all the secrets and lies have driven a wedge between father and daughter. Malia is having a hard time accepting the facts, cannot stand that her father is keeping things from her, but he is doing it for her, for her protection, to keep her safe, but what he fails to remember she is a highly trained weapon that can take care of herself.
Nathaniel becomes conflicted, in his heart, for feelings he never thought he would experience again, for his loveless marriage, has sparked a renewed desire inside of him and has laid claim to Chantelle, much to Malia’s amusement.
However, a know threat, from Nathaniel’s past has resurfaced, and are utilising every resource available to neutralise said threat, to no avail. Only when those closest to Nathaniel, including Malia are caught in the crossfire does he take action, much to Malia’s frustration.
The push and pull between Liam and Malia is fraught with unresolved anger and resentment, they fight and circle each other, throwing hurtful words, but secretly they both get off on it. Liam and Mahlia come to the inevitable conclusion that they are both responsible for the actions and choices that they have both made, which has lead them to where they are right now, and it all finally comes to a head when they give into their fears and feelings and take it out on each other’s bodies in a cataclysmic explosion of undeniable pain and pleasure.
With everything out in the open, all there truths laid bare, Liam having told Malia that he loves her, and her in not so many words, but through actions, Malia finally accepting that she belongs to Liam, and Liam to her, after everything is said and done, does the unthinkable happen to Malia. For Liam, one can only hope that wherever she is, she will not become a martyr to this cause.
This story is told from multiple POV, we get to see these characters develop and grown through there strengths and weaknesses, what we see and feel shapes these characters, giving readers insight to who they are flaws and all, that they are in fact humans who all feel but handle what happened to them differently.
Their story will take you on a wild ride, having you turn page after page, this book had me from the beginning to the end. Reading this story, it enables the readers to really connect with the characters. The author knows how to write, and I will be coming back for more.
Within these pages you will find a dark mafia romance, possessive dominant alpha male, a strong bad as alpha female who gives as good as she gets, touch her/ him and die vibes, family and friend dynamics, trust, loyalty, madness, mayhem, revenge, vengeance, violence, defiance, manipulation, adrenaline seeking suspense, jealousy, twists, truths and betrayal.
The tension between them was a raging inferno, the friction was raw, so hot that nothing paled in to comparison for there need to claim and own each other, but those s*x scenes were blazing hot, downright dirty and physical, it had all the pleasure and passion one would expect when they both show each other that they belong to one another, that they will both fight to get what they both want, giving themselves the pain and pleasure, that they both crave, there possessiveness and obsessive need for control and dominance, there foreplay it was off the charts and had all of the feels.
Highly recommend both author and book! Onto book three!

Another wild ride from Charli!
This one picks up right where 'A Deviant Queen' left off, and once again we are thrust straight back into Liam and Malia's world, filled with drama, betrayal, love, lust, hate, and plenty of steam in between.
This one hit the spot on angst and crossed the line of what love and hate look like, and boy oh boy Malia and Liam did not disappoint. Malia is as fierce as ever, and her inner dialogue at times was HILARIOUS... especially when her patience is wearing thin, she is feisty!!
These two are seriously toxic! But if you are here for some twists and turns, an epic cliffhanger and some sexy time then look no further. Excited to see how this unfolds in book three.

This book followed the continued story of Malia and Liam. The journey had me throwing my kindle! I was in AWE! These two are full of deception and angst! The push and pull that was found within this book was so memorable! The high stakes that come from their growing love was captivating. I couldn’t put it down. The steamy scenes were PHENOMENAL and I need more. The cliffhanger was worst than the last in THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. As always, I will be recommending this book series to everyone!

After completing a mission where she was undercover with Liam Brenner, an FBI agent with a vendetta against the family, Malia is reeling from new and unknown feelings. As old enemies close in, secrets come to light, and nothing will ever be the same.
Liam and Malia have hot chemistry that they might burn down everything around them! Owen has gifted readers with some fantastic characters that bring so many emotions to the surface. Malia is a strong, intelligent, vicious woman in a man's world that can hold her own. Liam is an FBI agent, consumed by a darkness that he is only starting to explore. This story includes secrets, betrayals, twists, and surprises. Owen entices readers with reveal after reveal and leaves more questions with every answer. I am so in love with this series by Charli Owen especially with the characters she has created. I absolutely love the mix of mafia and FBI characters. Her main characters reel you in but she also creates side characters that make you beg for their entire stories too.
This is the continuation of Malia and Liam’s story and to say it just gets better is an absolute understatement. These two finally work thru their issues and come together like theirs no tomorrow guaranteed. Truths of the past come out for some but Malia is still in the dark and struggling to maintain her respect for her father. We get to see a lot more into her father Nathaniel’s background and current entanglement with a dancer named Chantelle and theirs is a story I would love more of for sure. We also got to know her adopted brother Lion and his girl Akila in this too and like Nathaniel and Chantelle I can’t wait for Lion’s story.
This is an absolutely must read series. All the characters are phenomenal, the men are possessive and protective alpha males and the women are strong, feisty, and know how to handle their own. And the characters may be a bit on the crazy side!! Be aware of TW and a huge cliffy that will leave you desperate for the next book!! Highly recommend this book and this entire series!!

Ok so this is book 2 in the series! It follows around the Olins and their mafia. Malia is the princess that has been hidden away and made into their secret weapon. Her mission is Liam! When we start this book Liam is pissed off and done with Malia completely…. Or so he thinks! Malia feels the same way. Little do they know people are keeping secrets from them and they are targets of an enemy gang leader. Malias father will stop at nothing to keep her safe even if that means pushing her into Liam’s arms and a secluded cabin!
I enjoyed this book because it has action. The character development is great! There’s humor it’s not all serious and tense… and the spice. Whew!! 🥵🥵
If you love mafia, forced proximity, enemies to lovers then this book and series is for you!!

The ending blows me off the rail. It’s freaking fantastic, the cliffhanger is the thing I needed in this to send the story a mile away in a good way. It started with a strong plot building of the present and the past, Liam got to know about his past too. There were twists and turns and insecurities, and self-doubting which makes the story more interesting. I enjoyed the writing style of Charlie Owen and how the characters come alive in my mind. The book is from Malia, Liam, and Nate’s POV. Seeing Nate’s addition was like fresh air and gave more points in understanding the story better. Plus getting a glimpse of his life is wow. Got to see more of Lion and that one was entertaining. Liam and Malia are intense and the chemistry keeps brewing hot as the book moves forward. Looking forward to the next book in the series to see how the bomb is going to blast.

What to say… this book is literally everything!! The continuation of Malia and Liam’s story is jaw dropping!!

Malia and Liam are full of secrets, while they learn a little more than before. They want to know the truth. But is it a risk they are willing to take. To get the whole truth… their love for each other grows but with that comes high stakes on their lives and of those they love most…

Ms. Owens, what have you done to me this second book in the trilogy? This couple has been everything to me. Just like in the first book Milia is still a badass but this one shows her softer side. Liam well he is still the revengeful guy from the first book but is now confused. These two were extreme with each but I ate it up chapter after chapter. The push and pull between Liam and Milia had me all in. Knowing there are still so many secrets I had to keep reading because I have been so invested since I read the first book. This book literary has it all when it comes to dark romance and the word intense doesn't even scratch the surface. Oh and let's not forget the freaking cliffhanger that leaves you in a panic but still wanting more. Please read the trigger warnings.

Malia is still one badass women and she continues to surprise me with her actions. And not just the bloody ones! Liam! Damn this man frustrated me for a while! but the hate f**k is hot! He is now faced with a decision on to leave the darkness behind and be blinded in the light in the future.
I am loving this series so far and I wish I could will the next book out already!

My god this book. If you want something filled with deception and secrets then look no further!!! I couldn't put this book down especially after book 1!! Although this one leaves you on a killer of a cliffhanger.
I loved that we saw more of malias softer side in this book, it gave her alot more depth which I felt was needed ❤️
I'm so excited to see how this series finishes but I'll be sad to see the characters go :(

Holy smokes! My jaw is still on the damn floor! This book is AMAZING, and the FREAKING cliffhanger???!!! I can’t wait for book 3.
We get some answers in book 2, and secrets are revealed. Liam wants revenge, but has feelings for Malian, which complicates things. I feel there’s definitely some deception between these 2, but I loved them and they are like dynamite together! There’s some serious hot and steamy scenes. This series is a definite “can’t put it down” kind of read!

So many thoughts, so many emotions! So very well written, had me feeling like I was living it instead of reading it. Impossible to put down, as soon as I would I would be itching for more. The cliffhanger at the end was WOW!! I cannot wait for the 3rd book!! Will be highly recommending this book to all my friends!

This isn't typically my type of reading, but this series has kept me enthralled. I read this entire book in less than a day (much to my husband's dismay lol) This book was well-written, and the character development left me practically drooling. I loved Malia's development especially. That cliffhanger was NOT nice, so I hope she doesn't make me wait long for the next book.

Okay the opening started with a bang. Liam and Malia what a pair. There are twists and secrets, steam and anger. Liam and Malia also have this back and forth type relationship packed with a lot of steam.

Love, distrust and hatred!
Another great book, Malia and Liam continue to develop their relationship and Liam finds out what happened to his parents. I'm loving how this is going, as they both fight for control. Add in Nate's 'romance' with his Little Bird. Love it!

I couldn’t stop reading
I went from the first book straight to the second. I devoured it. Book 2 is my favourite and I can’t wait to see where the 3rd book will go. It’s really hard to find a mafia book with a badass FMC. And this series delivers! 5 stars.

💥Overall opinion:
Holy $#!t, this book is phenomenal! From the dedication page to the very last word, I was intrigued and plunged into this mafia romance! And that playlist? I'm a sucker for them and this one was FLAWLESS! To sum this book up in one word? Perfection. This is how a dark mafia romance is written!

Malia - 5⭐️: I'll always be a huge fan of this FMC. Her character growth through this series is unmatched and I LOVE that for her. She's just a bad@$$ all around that doesn't care what anyone thinks and is unapologetically herself. Her and Liam are just...everything!

However her father is not about to let anything happen to her. Even it it mean pushing her in Liam's arms and sending them to a secluded cabin. I loved reading this book but really loved watching our character's grow. They are also funny and that helps with all the secrets, twist and turns. And we can't forget the moments that are going to make your kindle melt in your very hands.

We get some amswers in this book and we get some amazing spicy scenes and the story will have you on the edge of your seat!!! I just finished and i can't get my brain to work to write this review 😂
Malia is still her usual badass self, but we get to see a softer side to her. Liam has feelings for her but feels betrayed. They have so much chemistry and the push and pull between them is *chefs kiss*.

This is the second book in the Notorious Series. It is a Dark Romance Mafia/FBI story. This book is the continuous story the FMC and MMC of book one. This book had my heart yet again with this story. If you haven't read book one in the series then grab that now. This story will also leave on a cliffhanger and have you begging for the next book. Charli's vision for this story is phenomenal. I can't wait to only read the next book in the series but also to read more work written. This book will not disappoint. If you have a love for crime and romance, grab this now.

This love story is a roller coaster, with two extremely stubborn characters it's a journey to determine who is going to wear the pants in the relationship. Once they both know who the other is they know have to work through all outside factors to build on themselves as a couple, their love story is written in a beautiful way!
Thoroughly enjoying this series, this cliffhanger would have filled me if I didn't have the third book already keyed up and ready to read!!
