This started a bit slow for me, but there was TONS of character and plot building so I totally get it.... but it gained speed and once it did it was a wild rollercoaster ride of feels.
It was intense, captivating and so so smexy!! I can't wait to see what she has in store for us as the series progresses!
If you've read the Pacific Prep series, you'll want to read this new series. It features Beck's childhood friends and they are so hot, vengeful and so domineering! The revenge plot is thick in this and I am down for every drop of blood that will be spilled by the last book.
Sawyer is one 𝑩𝑨𝑫𝑨𝑺𝑺 chick. This girl is feisty, raw and I kinda got a girl crush. She is the perfect match for all these alpha dudes that she will be having to deal with. She's hardcore and doesn't put up with crap - from anyone. She lives up to the attitude of a redhead for sure.
OMG, the guys! Holy hotness they are gonna be fun to get to know. Cain and Oliver were amazing! Their Rebels and Rejects gang of crusaders are the perfect addition! There is a very grey area between good and bad - where exactly does this group fall? Who's side will you be on when all is said and done?
I seriously CAN'T wait for book 2. That ending was quite the tease. I sure hope the series is going the way I hope it is!!!! I am SOOOOO down for it!!!

This is my very first time that I've read a story by R.A. Smyth and color me very intrigued!!!
Wow!!!! Honestly, this story was very complicated from every aspect, but it was delicious and intoxicating...
The start seemed a little bit slow, but I totally understand cause there have to be given many explanations in order to fully understand the story...
Our heroine was one badass chick and our two heroes were pure fire!!! I enjoyed this story very much and I can not wait for the next books cause I simply need more of these crew!!!!

Honestly, I don't know how to explain this story to you...
In Black Creek, gangs are ruling... People are, in a way, their prisoners for all their lives....
Sawyer is feisty and from a very young age, she was trying to make money in every possible way she could.... At the same time, she wants to stay far away from gangbangers or the Antonellis who are caring only for their Famiglia....
A girl has to do anything in order to survive in this cruel world and she is never backing out on anything...
But with the appearance of a new gang in town, the Reaper Rejects, everything are changing for her...
"It's practically ingrained into my blood to hate any and all things gang-related, but the Rejects aren't like any gang I've come across before."
I want to tell you more about the plot, but this story was very intriguing and there were happening so many things that it would be best to find out by yourselves if you will take a chance on it...
Survival and vengeance were the main goals in a town like Black Creek... and unwillingly Sawyer's fate is crossing by with Cain and Olivers', two dangerous gangsters who are seeking their one path full of blood, vengeance and power...
But the Reaper Rejects are not like every other gang... Can Sawyer trust their intentions and side with them????
"You're trouble, and if Idon't stop you, you'll ruin everything."
I loved Sawyer so much... She was a very tough girl who knew her way around this forgotten by God town...
Oliver and Cain came to upset for good her usual pattern and the way she was reacting toward both of them was something that she didn't really wanted or needed in her life...
This girl could easily made a saint to bow in her feet!!!
"I can't afford distractions right now, and you would definitely be a distraction."
As for the boys??? OMG!!!! They were both delicious and even though very opposite between them, I loved them both fiercely!!!
But honestly, I am wondering about Dante and his role into this story....
I am very intrigued by everything that had happened in here and I just want more and more!!!

I recently discovered Rachel a few months ago with her pacific prep series, and to say I'm a fan is an understatement. In the last book of that series, we got a seak peek of Cain and his mc, so I was so excited to see he's one of the love interests here! There's so much more to this badass biker than meets the eye, and I can't wait until we peel back more of his layers! His love/hate with Sawyer is everything and I can't wait for more!
Then there's Oliver. Sweet Oliver who is all badass in his own right, who was recently released from prison and is trying to get his life back. And then a woman with the sweetest smile and steel in her veins knocked him on his ass. I know it's probably too early to pick favorites, but if I had to it would be Oliver hands down. He may be Cains second in command, but he's first in my heart😍😍
Sawyer is so freaking amazing as a fmc, and I loved how ruthless she is. She's had such a tough life and she has no problem brining evil men down and I am just all here for that energy. She's striving to keep her younger brother from gangs and off the street, so everything she's doing in her life is ultimately to protect him. She just never expected to bikers to sweep her off her feet and all the feelings that come with that.
There's also more characters that are going to come out that I can't wait for (those two at the end had me saying HEEELLLOOO!! *winks*) I am just so excited for book two so we can get more answers to everything!
I'm purposely being hush hush on the actual plot line, but just know that once you start reading you won't be able to stop!

I absolutely couldn’t put this one down!! If you’ve read this author’a Crescentwood and Pacific Prep series, you must read this one! If you haven’t, no worries - you can still start this one without having read those 😉 I just love how all the worlds she’s created are intertwined and you never know when characters might pop up that you know and love 🤩
This is the first FMC, Sawyer, in a while of the books that I’ve read that I haven’t been annoyed with in the nicest possible way - meaning she has a take no prisoners attitude and doesn’t allow herself to be pushed around! I love how even if she’s feeling fear in any given situation or for her brother, she doesn’t let it show and has a secret identity when she moonlights as a vigilante killer of *extra bad people* 😈 She has a few different jobs that sometimes makes that one go to the back burner while she supports her younger brother but let’s just say that’s the one she’s most passionate about.
She also happens to catch the eye of a few guys 😏, with my personal fav being Oliver. Oliver’s backstory takes place in the Crescentwood series and I was so excited to see him be a main character here. Oliver and Cain are the vp & pres (basically the leaders) of a local gang called the Reaper Rejects that have a revenge idea in mind when Sawyer waltzes into their lives. There’s also a mysterious character in Dante, a rival gang leader that had a brief run in and some history with Sawyer that may just shake things up a bit in the next book. I’m excited to see how this harem will form but just the steam and tension from individual interactions alone with Sawyer in book one will have you wanting more!

Highly recommend this book to those who loved Pacific Prep. Though the plot is different (obvi) you still have a strong FMC who takes no shit and makes the boys work for what they want.
Sawyer is the FMC in this series and damn... i wouldn't want to get on her bad side. Sawyer lives a double life (Sawyer vs. Red). The book starts off with a flashback then jumps to present time for chapter one. But make sure you pay close attention to the beginning because everything will start to make sense later in the book.😉 Well until the last page and youre left with a brutal cliffy. 😂
Sawyers main focus is revenge in book one. She has her own mission but when people start getting in her way shes forced to adjust her plans.
I can't wait to meet more of the guys! We only get a little taste of a couple of them in book one so i'm excited to see the rest of her harem!
I found R.A. Smyth through a friend, read one book and now i'm hooked on any and everything she writes.
*i do recommend reading Pacific Prep first because we meet a couple of these characters there first!

Rebels and Rejects was my first book by R. A Smyth. I was obsessed with Sawyer. Everything about her was just bad ass ! The story line was good. We got alot of information to set the rest of the series. I was definitely hooked and on edge trying to figure out what was gonna happen next. I love all the other characters but my favorite is Oliver, hands down. His energy and the connection between him and Sawyer was hot ! I'm excited to see what happens in book two !

If you loved the Pacific Prep series as much as I do this is a must read. I was so excited to dive into Black Creek, and it is fantastic!! It’s a bit darker, it’s raw, with more grit and danger. I think this might be R.A.’s best so far. The writing is amazing, it’s so easy to get lost in. The characters are wonderful and have so much depth to them. Each one has a story to tell. It feels as if R.A. was able to make them come to life. They each have huge personalities.
Sawyer the fmc is one of my favorite main characters to date. She’s strong, stubborn, fierce, feisty – an overall bad**s – yet underneath she’s got a big heart. She’s trying to take care of herself and her younger brother in a gang ridden Black Creek. Everything she does is to prevent her brother Luc from taking the gang path; all she wants for him is to escape Black Creek and have a better life.
There are many different sides to Sawyer, and they are all fascinating. Let’s just say this girl can take care of herself. She may love her brother, but as soon as she steps out of the front door, she’s Red – she puts on her mask and fortifies the walls surrounding her heart. She wears a mask better than anyone and keeps to herself as much as possible. All she can hope for is to remain an unseen nobody. Unfortunately, she catches the eye of some important people and staying under the radar may no longer be possible.
If you read Pac Prep you’ll recognize Cain and Oliver. Oliver is the strong, silent type giving off the don’t mess with me vibes. He just got out of prison and is back to help Cain get his vengeance. Him and Red have an instant connection. Cain is pure anger, adrenaline, and force; he’s the leader. Him and Red together are a mix of fire, sin, and sex personified. There are some great side characters, Bones being my favorite. Were left not knowing who else will join the harem, there a few options, and I for one am dying to know more.
I love how everything is woven together into this sort of bubble; Black Creek is all that exists, the outside world is far away, and Black Creek rules are all that apply. Law enforcement is bought and paid for.
This story is all about vengeance, retribution, vigilante justice – revenge. The tension between the gangs is heating up and at some point, it’s going to come to a head. You can feel the angst, and fear of what’s to come. You can also feel the connection between the characters, the emotions that stay hidden and unnamed, but you can only push that away for so long. Emotions have a way of creeping up on us, and I have a feeling it’s going to be fantastic when they come to a head. I can’t wait to see what happens next! 🖤

Like all of her books R.A. Smyth has started the Black Creek series off with a bang. While the start is slow the book kicks things into action once the characters and overall plot building was started. This book was a rollercoaster! This book is dripping with revenge plot and I am here for it.
Sawyer, the FMC, is feisty and she might be one of my favorite baddie heroines. She’s the perfect hardcore equal to the alphas and she doesn’t take shit from anyone. Our heroes are equal to Sawyer in every way and considering the possible rivalry between the potential members of her harem I’m interested in seeing how things will play out.
This book was hot, captivating, and so full of tension. We’ve only touched the tip of the iceberg or so it seems and I’m excited to see where Sawyer and her harem will progress in the series.

This was surprisingly good. I don't mean that in a 'I expected it to be bad' way more like it wasn't what I was expecting and I was really positive surprised.
Oliver. Need I say more. What an amazing man. He was so easy to love. Can't wait to continue the series and get more of him.
I really loved Sawyer, she is really badass. She really kept Cain on his toes and challenged him which I really loved.
That epilogue was...I'm speechless. Need to start the second book immediately to find out more. I hope we see Enzo again too. I really liked him. He was only in a couple scenes but he made an impression.

My first R.A. Smyth book and I am hooked.
This has a slow start (nice for a change of my normal reads).
But with the slow start comes a lot of character and plot building so it evens out.
After a bit it gains speed and then it is just a wild ride.

It is an intense and captivating story and I so wanna see what is in store in this series.
This has a slow start (nice for a change of my normal reads).
But with the slow start comes a lot of character and plot building so it evens out.
After a bit it gains speed and then it is just a wild ride.

This was my first book by this author, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but what I read was definitely not it. This book clearly is setting the tone for the series. I felt like it was a little slow-paced, but I don't think it will maintain that going into book 2.
I loved all of the characters! Red was fierce and strong but slowly let her guard down around the people the meant the most to her. Caine and Oliver seem like they just want to the world to be a better place and most importantly want revenge for Evie. Dante, whom we did not get much on - seems like he'll be a wild card. It's obvious the connection we read, I am excited to see how that will play out with Caine and Oliver. Will Enzo be around more, what was his deal?

What can I say about Rebels and Rejects except that it was absolute perfection the perfect cocktail of a strong FMC, mystery, girl power, revenge, darkness, hot steamy hate scenes, and sinfully dark men that make your heart race.
R. A Smyth just gets better with every series she writes and this just might be my favourite of hers. Rebels and Rejects starts off with a bang with a killer, strong FMC who is even more dangerous and feared than her men. I just love how independent she is and how much of a fighter she is. She compliments Cain so well because she's had similar experiences having both had bad childhoods and had to fight their way to the top. However, whereas Cain makes his stand in the light, Sawyer prefers the anonymity of the shadows.
The steam pouring off Cain, Oliver and Sawyer was sizzling and so much sexual tension that could suffocate a small country. I loved the steamy scenes best and the different dynamics between Sawyer and her two men. Cain is my favourite as he's just the complete misunderstood bad boy with a grudge, dark painful past and who doesn't love a bad boy?
However, Cain has definitely met his match in Sawyer and I can't wait to see how this relationship develops and incorporates another character that I'm almost certain will end up in the harem. It will be very interesting to see how Cain deals with that should it happen.
Black Creek is a deliciously dark, dangerous captivating world with threats hiding all around the corner but there are those who are strong enough to stand up and say no. Once upon a time, The Feral Beasts rule Black Creek with an iron fist, but they're long gone now. the Antonelli family stepped in, only caring about their family and their money. I've heard the whispers...The Reapers Rejects are growing and they want control of Black Creek. But this town isn't big enough for the both of them. Blood will be shed, lives will be lost, retribution will be dealt. A war is coming and this town has never been more deadly.
I will go ahead and tell you that you might at first think that this book is starting a little slow. Don't let that discourage you and lay it down because it will pick up you won't put it down. There are a ton of characters in this book and you have to get to know them and then your on your way to the greatness. I was so excited to go to Black Creek and find out what it was all about. It's a little town that sure has a lot of things going one. This is a darker read and it is raw and gritty and full of danger and action and so much is going on but you keep up with it really well and I loved that. I hate when books get to busy and you can't keep up by don't you worry this one flows perfectly. I loved every second of this book and I can't really talk about the story because I am afraid I will give something away for someone. This is one book you do not want to miss and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one!!

A massive revenge scheme, a side of vigilante justice and a dash of mystery make up the first book in the captivating Black Creek series. Rebels & Rejects is Rachel’s best work yet and her masterful storytelling had me completely captivated from start to finish.
It seems like gang romances have been all the rage lately especially in the RH world. Many of them can be very similar but I was pleased that R&R was a unique and fresh take on this trope and not like others I’ve read.
It’s not a secret that I love a badass heroine, and Sawyer brings all those key elements to the table. She’s fiery and fierce while also being compassionate and brave. Sawyer’s no holds barred attitude is a result of working her way up from the gutter and fighting for every scrap she owns. The MMC’s featured in this book are intriguing and I enjoyed the balance between Cain’s aggression and Oliver’s quiet calm. Rachel is also teasing us with couple of additional characters and despite only getting them in small doses, I am already completely intrigued. Who is a potential love interest? An enemy? What role will they play? I must know!
Rebels & Rejects kicks off this new series with a bang and sets the scene for what I know will be a fascinating story. Because this is only book 1 it’s a little slim with the spicy scenes but makes up for it with lots of sizzling chemistry and delicious tension. The ending was totally unexpected and had my jaw dropping…and maybe also drooling just a teensy bit :) I’m anxious as hell to see how everything unfolds. Absolutely amazing series start!

The first book in the Black Creek series is here and I’m officially obsessed!!
We meet Sawyer, a Black Creek local just trying to get by and do right by her teenage brother, Luc, who she takes care of. Turns out, Sawyer has a few jobs, one of which involves her being a complete and utter badass, wrecking havoc on the assholes in town!
Her moonlighting gig forces her paths to cross with Cain and Oliver, who run the Reaper Rejects, a local gang filled with some familiar faces, who are out for revenge. Against who? Oh the Antonellis ofcourse!! We meet Dante briefly and a lifelong contact of Sawyer’s by the name of Enzo, but TBD how they fit into the grand scheme of things.
Each character has their own unique backstory and driving force behind their motivations, but they fit together like this perfect puzzle that doesn’t seem like it should work but 100% does. I love the chemistry, the tension, the suspense, and most of all, I’m rooting for Sawyer!

Rebels & Reject was another great book by R.A. Smyth! Honestly, this book was the perfect start to the Black Creek series!
It’s no secret how obsessed I am with RH romances, and R.A. Smyth for sure knows how to feed my obsession for RH. Also, her books keep me on the edge of my seat every time! A dark and gritty read; the suspense, action, twists and turns, steam, and tension in this book made me devour it.
Sawyer, Oliver, & Cain. Sawyer is a strong heroine, a badass, and honestly, this author knows how to deliver those types of heroine characters! Oliver, well, what can I say? I’m kinda obsessed with him already. I feel like he is perfect for Sawyer. Now, Cain, hmmm, I have strong mixed feelings. But let me tell you, the chemistry!! OMG.
There's so much more to come from these characters, and I seriously can’t wait to get more from this series! I highly recommend R.A. Smyth, especially if you are a lover of RH romance like me!

Yet again Smyth has pulled me into an action packed series! This series is a spin-off from the Pacific Prep series but it is not necessary to read that series first, although it is amazing! Black Creek is ruled by various gangs all vying to steal power and territory from one another. Rebels & Rejects started with a bang and hooked me right from the start.
I love Sawyer’s character; she is fierce! She protects those around her and refuses to be controlled by others. She hates the gangs and the influence they have over her town so she wants to take their power. I cannot wait to see how she develops throughout this series! I have a soft spot for Oliver but I’m not too sure about Cain yet. I’m sure Smyth will make me love all of these characters by the end of the series though.
When I finished the book, I kept flipping the pages hoping for more! I have so many questions including how is Dante going to fit into everything? I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens!!!

I was unfamiliar with RA’s writing simply because my TBR list is a mile long and she is DEFINITELY on it, but when this gem popped up for me to review before release; I was ecstatic.
Sawyer is a badass, not taking crap from anyone chick with a heart of gold. She does what she can to provide for her little brother in the dangerous town they live in filled with gangs and violence. Her relationships forming with Cain and Oliver from the Rejects gang was becoming VERY interesting… I was on the edge of my seat the entire book waiting to see what she would be mixed up with next! If life didn’t get in the way, I would have read the whole thing in one sitting.
The spice was minimal, but GREAT when it appeared. I imagine now that we have the vase of the characters and plot, the spice will heat up….
Cannot wait to read the rest of the series!!

Holy shitting hell, that epilogue. My gawd, that was everything!
The plot building is everything in this book, like there is so much going on you just know this is going to be one hell of an explosive series.
I am laying my claim to Enzo right now.
Sawyer is a badass! She is sexy, feisty and even I have a major crush on her. She is used to doing everything by herself and protecting her little brother who she would do anything for. But will she be able to let her guard down just enough to work with Cain and Oscar to take down a common enemy?
He's built more like a Viking warrior than a Black Creek thug.
These guys are something else. They are were made for stealing women's hearts and pulverising them into mush because they are HOT. Cain has met his match with Sawyer and he is not happy about the fact. Their chemistry is off the charts and you know things are going to explode between the two of them.

What a great start to this series! I love Red! She’s such badass! And Oliver! Can’t get enough of him! The plot of the book is really good! I knocked off a star because I was hoping the book would give more insight as to what happened to all the parents of the main characters. I want to know more about their background. Other than that, I really enjoyed the book!

Rebels & Rejects was just absolutely mind blowing! I love Sawyer! She’s a take-no-crap kind of girl which is my favorite type of FMC. The guys…I can’t pick a favorite and every time I do, I just change my mind again. R.A. Smyth has given us a fantastic story with a gritty plot and lots of character and world building. It’s the perfect balance and it’s what I love most about her books! I cannot wait to get my hands on Murder & Mayhem!!!

This book made a good impression. Normally in reverse harem books you have that it focuses more on the sexual side than the plot. Whereas this book is focused on the plot and you haven't experienced any romance except a few sexual parts. Even though this was a slowburn, you were not bored by the action in the book. Also, you can really see the good use of the trope enemies to lovers.

Sooo good can’t wait for the rest of this series! I love strong female characters and Sawyer is just outstanding and her fierce attitude is so amazing! Clearly they aren't long enough because I need more OliverxSawyer.
A perfectly written book around three main gangs going at it, one of the gangs are briefly mentioned throughout the book but has no major significance as yet. The Reaper Rejects are like makeshift angelic demons among a shit hole of sleazy humans. They are desperate for their vengeance but have a goal bigger than that.
The FMC is the same way even though she doesn't want to admit it. Her relationship with her brother, Luc, Oliver and slowly with those surrounding her is absolutely adorable. I love how she's written, even though she admits her faults she stands her ground, and remains strong. She fights her way out of ALL situations and if she can't at the time she works around it. A real bad bitch 💅🏽.
A few characters do die here and they are all well deserved 🥱.
I also love Bones an adorable golden retriever with a dark side to rival Cain. I'm excited to finish the series and see where it takes me but the potential, the plot, the smut, the characters and descriptions/writing are all beautifully done. ❤🤍

I literally devoured this book page after page...so freaking good. A complex storyline, twists that kept me guessing and little surprises popping up right until the end. Everything I love in a dark romance. Keep the crazy coming because I'm all pumped up and ready to go.

This book starts off slow, building the plot and the characters, giving you juicy nuggets of information and creating the story amazingly and then boom!! It takes off and you need to hold on for what’s in store!
This book is action packed and thrilling with mystery and danger all around. There’s emotion, angst, drama and so much going on that you will be on the edge of your seat!
