The Sopranos meets Dexter: a striper searching for the truth and a psychopath trying to hide his desperate desire to kill.
A liar searching for the truth,
A psycho hiding behind a mask.
Both trapped in a web of deception.

Zoe
Everything has a meaning.
Every action has a consequence.
So there has to be a reason my world was turned upside down.
I just have to find it.
And that’s how I end up at Saints and Sinners, wrapped up in lies and half truths.
Surrounded by wolves, who don’t think twice about letting a lion into the hen house.

John
I’m not an honest man.
I manipulate the truth, pulling the puppet strings to get what I want.
I use people's secrets against them, turning their transgressions into a license to kill.
I’m not expecting the doe eye girl in black lingerie to send a dagger through my heart with the sway of her hips.
But she has a secret, and I want to know it.

What’s a liar to do?

Nat's Notes:
I am in LOVE with John and Zoe's dynamic. John is the family psycho, know for being a bit unique in his "process". And Zoe is from a rough part of NOLA and is searching for her missing best friend. She gets in a little over head with trying to spy on the mob. What I love about these two is the air of secrecy and how they tread water getting to know each other not sure if they're willing to drop all the walls they built.

"Deception" is the second book in the Sinners of New Orleans series. It is a full length secret identiy/dark/mafia romance with spicy scenes and an HEA. This series is best read in order. While John and Zoe's story will have an HEA and conclude in Deception, there is an overarching plot that will continue in future books.

Deception contains themes of violence, explicit language, descriptions of the aftermath Hurricane Katrina, and domestic violence/violence against women. Please take caution when reading.

Natalia Lourose writes angsty romance about broken people figuring out life and finding love along the way. Television and far too much smut as a teenager left her obsessed with dark-haired bad boys who are moody and wear leather jackets. Tucked away in her writing nook with a dog at her feet, two cats on her keyboard, and husband yelling at the computer – she is always writing something, or trying to.

She loves interacting with fans and fellow book lovers on social media!

Same old same old.
Marcus killed John's uncle and now John is set to kill him is literally the whole plot.
Marcus makes Zoe fish out John's secrets by seducing him and then she tells him that Marcus told her that by like....the next chapter.

Also about the smut.....you name it we have it.
We've got mafia going on
We got praising going on
We got 'touch her and I'll kill you'
We got 'who did this to you'
We got 'i'll keep you safe from everything you're not alone'
We got moaning daddy
We got a safe word.
We also got a man with a collar kink
Also he calls her kitten
Also spanks and then tells her to thank him for his... efforts.
He calls himself a psychopath but he's just a cold guy who's not uncomfortable with death around him.
Not giving psychopath I'm sorry

I mean... I love my smut very dearly but you cannot mix literally everything.
Even the plot was not it for me.

Zoe Carson never wanted to be a stripper at Saints and Sinners, but life has a funny way of throwing you curveballs. Besides, she’s not Zoe at the club, she’s “Kat” - an sweet, innocent girl who dances for men with questionable intentions at best. But Zoe needs answers, and if this is how she’ll get them - so be it. But Zoe seals her fate the second she locks eyes with a darkly handsome man in the club - she just doesn’t know it.

John Vitale is a trained killer who’s looking for vengeance - vengeance and nothing else. But the second he sees the playful and innocent “Kat,” he becomes distracted, infatuated. He knows there’s more to the girl who dances - and he’s determined to discover all her secrets. The last thing he expected? To genuinely get attached to her. Can these two broken souls find solace in each other… or were they over before they even begun?

Holy. Freaking. Crap. Upon concluding this novel, I was absolutely speechless. This is my fifth book by Natalia Lourose, and I think it’s her best one yet!!!! It was extremely dark at times, so be sure to check the trigger warnings. But that doesn’t take away from how incredible the story was. You can tell the author poured her heart and soul into this book, and she definitely pulled it off! I have so many emotions about everything that happened it’s not even funny.

John. I admire a man who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go for it, and John definitely fits that bill. He’s not a knight in shining armor, but he knows how to treat a lady, I’ll say that. He’s made my book boyfriend list for sure! Zoe. Oh, this beautifully broken girl needs so many hugs. I admire her strength, her intelligence, her sassy nature. She and John are both broken, but their broken pieces fit perfectly together.

I adored John and Zoe’s relationship. I loved the way they danced around each other at first, and I was cheering for them every step of the way. It was wonderfully slow burn, and agonizingly angsty, but somehow Lourose made me enjoy every second of it. This book is utterly exquisite. I definitely recommend!

MC: John & Zoe

Dual POV, character series, NOLA, mafia, stripper, alpha male, touch her and die, murder, cliffhanger

4/5⭐️
3/5🔥

Zoe’s best friend went missing a month ago and she thinks that it’s connected to the mafia who run the strip club she’d been working at. To get information, Zoe starts working there, hoping to get close to the owner of the club, Marcus. One night, she meets John, Marcus’ cousin and a member of the mafia family. John has recently “switched sides” of family loyalty to try to help his cousin that he thinks was framed for killing his father. Zoe sees John as a way to get close and hopefully get information about what happened to her friend.
John gave me major Dexter vibes from early on and when Zoe made that comparison, I laughed so hard. When they family calls him a psychopath, it feels like they’re trying to force him into the box so it keeps things tidy for them; everything in its place and with its label. The cat and mouse game between Zoë and John kept their story interesting. I wish I could have gotten more at the end to explain John’s call to Lana at the end of the last book but 🤷🏻‍♀️. Maybe next book?

Overall I enjoyed the continuation of this series. The tension & chemistry between John & Zoe was done super well. I really felt that their relationship was believable & you could actually see them falling for each other. Zoe has that more innocent vibe where she tries to see good in everything & everyone despite the ugliness she’s seen. John was known as the mafia resident psycho. He didn’t believe he was capable of love or being more then what he could physically offer the world & women. They are swept up in a game of lies, deceit, sexiness & lots of emotional damage to work through, especially for John.

If you like these types of tropes, it was a good read!

First, between my busy schedule of working and nursing school I don’t have time to read. I made the time to read this book. I finished it in 3 days! I could not put it down!
Deception is the second book in the Sinners of New Orleans series. I was definitely excited to get this book in my hands and it did not disappoint!
I’m the type of person that loves the characters from the first book in any series and none of the rest can compare. So naturally I thought that nothing would compare to Lana and Naz. I was definitely wrong!! Zoe and John are absolutely *chefs kiss.*
In the description it says “The Sopranos meets Dexter” and it couldn’t be more accurate. I was constantly on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next.
I just cannot tell you how amazing this book is! Zoe and John are definitely a match from the beginning. John is the perfect mafia bad boy and Zoe is the perfect innocent girl.
YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!

I received this as an ARC and I am so grateful I did.

The Sinners of New Orleans is my first delve into Mafia romance and I have found it incredibly entertaining. I enjoyed the first book (Alliance) but this one grabbed me and wouldn't let go. I found John to be intriguing and terrifying. If you have a thing for the morally grey dark and broody man, look no further. Zoe was also interesting. Her spirit and growth in the book really spoke to me. Their relationship was absolutely sizzling. Big "who did this to you?" and "touch her and die" energy. The dynamics within the "la famiglia" are dangerous and riveting. I am excited to see what comes next. As for the spice...whew! Amazing. Loved the kinky aspects and all the consent talk within a book as dark as this. Can't wait for the rest of the series.

This is a dark mafia romance with plenty of spice. Check your content warnings.

Series: Sinners of New Orleans #2

*Check for triggers before reading*

Deception is book two in the Sinners of New Orleans series and I absolutely loved it! The overarching plot, the action, and the couple made for a great read. I like that the books in this series are standalones, but that they are connected through family ties and an overarching plot.

I absolutely loved Zoe and John's dynamic. The push and pull between the two of them was so good. Once they spent more time together, you could see how comfortable they were with each other. They balance each other out in a beautiful way.

I loved Zoe so much. She's been through a lot, yet has an innocence to her. She's determined to find her friend, even if it means entering a dangerous world. She's fierce and doesn't let anyone scare her off. I loved her dynamic with John so much. She was playful with him and even a little sassy. She never made him feel broken or that something was wrong, which was new for him.

I don't know if a cinnamon roll psychopath is a thing, but it is now! John is amazing. He's supposed to be the family psycho, and maybe he is, but I didn't see him that way. He was protective, caring, soft, comforting, and a praise king. He really cares about Zoe and sees her for how great she is. I love how enthralled he was with her when she dances, and how he saw the beauty in what she was doing 🥰

Natalia told us book two was going to be spicy and she delivered! Zoe and John were so hot together. The scene at the gala 🥵 The praise in this book was so so so good. There's a praise AND degradaiton moment that I was VERY into 👀 I'll be adding 'kitten' to the list of things I want my future husband to call me.

I'm excited for Madi's book, but I can't wait for Sam's. He intrigued me in Alliance and I just know his book is going to be good. I am enjoying this series so far and I am excited to see where the other two books take us once they are out.

Thank you so much to Natalia Lourose and Peachy Keen for the ARC!

This is the first book I ever picked up by Natalia Lourose and I'm definitely coming back for seconds.

Zoe never imagined she'd become a 'dancer' at Saint and Sinners but life never turns out the way we want- or need- it to. At the club though, she's not Zoe, she's Kat. Kat is sweet and playful and a total sweetheart. This might not be what she imagined for herself but she needs answers and she's okay with it if this is the only way she'll get them. Her life however changes permanently when she catches the eye of the most handsome and dark man in the club, she just isn't aware of it yet.

John is a cold-blooded killer, he doesn't have time for anything but vengeance in his life. All of that changes when he meets Kat whom he immediately develops a liking, an infatuation for. He wants to know more about her, he wants to know everything there is to know about her including all her secrets. For a killer like him, the last thing you'd be worried about is him getting attached to her. But he isn't a regular killer and this isn't your regular story.

I absolutely adored the dynamic between Zoe and John, it was the perfect balance and they just...fit together. Zoe is a badass heroine who I loved to follow along with and watching John fall for Zoe slowly was so fascinating. A ruthless killer who once never had any space for trivial things like this in their life actually falling in love is something I'll always find fascinating.

When her best friend went missing, and she found clues that pointed to it being related to the mafia whose club she works at, Zoe starts working there to spy and hopefully get closer to the owner Marcus to get information about her friend's disappearance. To Zoe, John is a good way to get the information she wants because he's Marcus' cousin, and that's as good as it gets. I love how every mafia book I read has a plot wholly different to any other and this was no different. I was so fully engrossed into the whole book including the plot and not just the romance.

Here's some tropes/things to convince you to read this book:
🔥dual POV
🔥mafia
🔥spicy
🔥secret identity
🔥guaranteed HEA
🔥alpha male
🔥'touch her and die' vibes
🔥psychopath hero
🔥mafia fixer
🔥innocent-ish heroine
🔥interconnected standalones with overlapping plot
🔥praise kink

I absolutely adored this book and I can't wait to read more of Natalia's works because I loved the writing, the characters, the plot and just about everything else. Natalia has a talent for writing books that I can't wait to come back to.

I had been anxiously waiting the release of this book. I loved Alliance the first in the Sinners of New Orleans series so much that I had such high hopes for this book. Let me tell you Natalie did not disappoint. It was more on a lighter note than the first book and much appreciated because I loved the vibe between Zoe and John. Both very well developed characters in my opinion, I really got the picture 0f who they were in my mind as I read.

To be a little bit bias I enjoyed John's character more than I did Zoe's. I loved the honesty in who he was and how he saw the world through his own lens and understood it for what it was. There are parts of how he's characterized that I wouldn't agree with but overall his character felt real. Zoe seemed kind of like your typical girl in most Mafia stories, if she's not a badass queen. She's a beautiful girl with a broken spirit but she still had some good character traits but her brokenness is something I didn't understand. I loved her anyway. The two of them together though was beautiful chaotic. Great chemistry and good banter. I like the black sheep in the family with the lost girl thing.

Overall the writing in this book was amazing and I laughed at parts and wanted to smack the shit out of Zoe at others. I so recommend this book. You won't be able to put it down. I hate every minute I wasn't reading knowing I was missing the opportunity to know what happens. I can't wait for the next book.

I absolutely appreciated the bit of insight I got into what happened to Ignazio and Lana from book 1. I'd love after Madi's book which I assume book 3 will be about that I get a book giving like a finally get together back in New Orleans so I can see how the characters develop further.

Not had chance to get a full review up today so will hopefully update this tomorrow but:

Really enjoyed getting John's story and learning more about him. We saw cameos of him in Alliance, but not enough to really get a read on his person. This book brought out a surprise in regards to his background that i wasn't expecting but it was really interesting to read and i liked how he didn't suddenly change his character completely. Whilst he does feel for Zoe and obviously falls in love with her, he's known as being a 'psychopath' and being emotionless, and i think even towards the end of the book, we do still see those traits in him.

Likewise, I'm really glad he wasn't overly jealous/possessive. That can personally get a bit annoying for me when the hero is obsessively J/P, but i think John was the perfect amount of both.

Zoe was a new character for us, with us only seeing one small scene about her at the end of alliance. After her best friend goes missing whilst working at a strip club, Zoe vows to find out what happened to her.

Enjoyed reading this and looking forward to the last two books in the series, especially Sam who I've been in love with since we first met him in Alliance lmao.

Natalia Lourose has delivered yet another great mafia romance. This is book 2 of the Sinners Of New Orleans series where there is mention of previous characters from book 1 and ends with a preview into book 3. This book follows Zoe and John's story, written in dual POV, and filled with mystery.

Zoe is a stripper who works at a club called Saint and Sinner's that is trying to investigate the disappearance of her best friend, Cassie's and ends up making a deal with the devil himself. And John is a man, who has been told his entire life he is a psychopath, trying to find the truth behind his Uncle Junior's death. While trying to convince his cousin Marcus that he's on his side as to not be suspicious and find clues that will lead to his cousin Sam's freedom. Both must rely on each other to play their cards right and not be caught. Yet both can't deny the attraction and comfort they feel while in each other's arms.

Lourose created characters that seemed more realistic than most other Mafia romance books/series I have read. She created two characters that proved to be sympathetic yet understanding and determined with a splash of steaminess. Just make sure to check the author's trigger warnings before deciding to read the book.

5/5⭐️ A psycho and a liar. A rich man and a poor girl. A man who can’t love and a woman who lacks love. They’re not meant to work, not meant to co-exist. She’s too pure, too naive for his world; he’s too dark, too calculating for hers.

They go from pawns in each other’s games to a master pair together. He’s her light in the dark. She’s his connection to reality.

But thank the author they do. Seriously tho. Read it. Follow her. @natalialourose is bomb at this sh!t.

I took long as hell to read this, unnecessarily long. Yet thank the lawrt I finished, finally. Not without a few too many moments read in public, either there were tears ready to say hello or a increased need to find a fan😉.

The book taps into your feelz in ways unexpected. Let’s be honest here, John is my new favorite psychopath daddy. And Natalia makes you connect with your inner Zoe, relating you to her, connecting you to her. The desires felt, the pain.

And I’ll admit I was adamant on liking Zoe. She didn’t sit well with me for a while, pissed me off a bit too often. And then I wanted to be her friend, have a friend like her. But that was a fecken ride. Deception has a bitter taste 😏

*Spoiler Free Arc Review*

I loved this, AGH. GOD. I loved this so much. I WANTED MORE. I regret not finishing it sooner and taking so much time but god this book, I loved it so much!! I don’t know what Natalia has put into this 😭😭

A psychopath and Liar,, that’s it that’s what the story is about, one mafia family, one murder, one kidnapping. John and Zoe, I think are my new favourite couple <3, they are just perfect. I loved the last couple of chapters so much!! And omg JOHN. he’s so so so so. AGH. You cannot put this book down, you cannot. This wasn’t just any mafia romance, and the ending it made me so happy. I have never loved a mafia romance more than this.
I mean good girl bad boy, “who did this to you”, some of the best tropes. The whole scene with Zoe and her father, it made me sob. What I absolutely loved about this book was that it was balanced, it had a good plot with a good character development, I really wished this was longer I wanted more of them!!

I can’t wait to read more of Natalia Lourose <3 Thank you for sending the Arc of this!

The chemistry and dynamic between Zoe & John were HOT. Zoe was the good girl while John was the bad boy. Natalia did a great job building up the chemistry and showing the different dynamics between these too.

Zoe was innocent in a sense, she still believed there was good in everyone. John was the mafia’s psychopath, he was always told he would never be capable of love and would never be normal. They meet at a club where Zoe works as a stripper, and the story goes from there. She is looking for her best friend who went missing, and decides to work there to find out where she went. John is trying to get his uncle’s trust, so he plays the part of the loyal servant. John’s uncle notices his infatuation with Zoe, and threatens Zoe to spy on John.

There is so much more to this story, but I don’t want to give anything away. This book is packed with lust, spice, and action. If you haven’t started this series, you need to.

Deception is the second book in the Sinners of New Orleans series, and ever since I read Alliance, I've dying to get more from this series. Natalia Lourose delivered another great Mafia Romance that is now between my favorites.

Every time I grab a book by Natalia Lourose, I end up binge reading it, and this book was no different! This Mafia Romance book was spicy, full of secrets, lies, drama, action, and twists. When I say I didn't put this book down, I mean it.

Zoe is smart, strong, and sweet. She is trying to find her best friend who disappeared, what she didn't expect was to find herself working at a strip club, but she is willing to do anything to find answers.

John is dangerous, possessive, and dominant. He is someone convinced he can't feel anything, especially love, but Zoe will change everything for him.

Zoe & John had a unique dynamic and so much chemistry! I loved both of these characters, especially John, because it is impossible not to love him. Zoe & Johnn's journey was everything! They are perfect together.

I loved this book, and I love this series more and more with each book! I recommend this book if you love Mafia Romance, and I can't wait to see what Natalia Lourose will bring next.

Ok I'm just going to say that this is probably my favorite in this Sinners of New Orleans series. I absolutely loved Zoe and dare I say her crazy psychopath John man he can give a whole new meaning to broody and controlling.
Zoe's aka Kat who's a stripper of sorts at the Saints and Sinners strip club she's trying to find her best friend Cassie and not having any luck until one night when she attracts the attention of John.
John is known as the "family psycho" due to his way of processing thing's that he takes care of for his family. He's at Saints and Sinners one night when he takes notice of "Kat" needless to say thing's only get interesting between them as she finds out quick that they're mafia, and for John who doesn't do relationships finds himself protecting her.
I'm stopping there you need to read this as I don't want to give thing's away.
This story sucked me in from the start to finish I couldn't get enough of these 2. Now I just need the next please.

꧁✿☾✩♡ⒸⒽⓁⓄⒺ'Ⓢ ⓇⒺⓋⒾⒺⓌⓈ♡✩☽✿꧂

This is book 2 in the Sinners of New Orleans series, although books 1 and 2 are do not feature the same character they are interconnected. So, I would recommend reading them in order.

This book was by far my favourite out of the 2, I loved the whole concept. Zoe is a stripper at a mafia-owned club in the hopes of learning more about the disappearance of her friend that was previously working there. But...what ends up happening is she meets John, a member of the la familia and notorious killer. He instantly becomes enamored with Zoe but knows she has a secret...he will do anything to protect her and uncover what she's hiding.

This was a great book and I definitely recommend it if you love mafia romance and have a d*ddy k*nk (please check triggers as always).

I'm excited to see what comes next in this series!

As soon as i reached the end of Alliance i instantly started looking forward to more from this author! I picked up this second installment as soon as i could and got right back into the Sinners of New Orleans world! I so enjoyed this second book!

Zoe and John's journey grabbed my attention so quickly! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen in this story and it definitely kept me on my toes. The chemistry between these two was all kinds of blushworthy!

With Deception, Ms.Lourose has created such a good and dark read with heat and suspense that will pull you in! I am so looking forward to diving back into the Sinners of New Orleans world with the third installment!

I love this book!!

Deception is the second book in the Sinners of New Orleans series and is the story of Zoe and John.

Zoe is a stripper and is trying to find her best friend that went missing from their club, Saints and Sinners. Marcus, the club owner and John's cousin, tasks her to be his spy and watch John, but it doesn't go the way she planned it.

John Vitale is the psycho of the Costello family. He doesnt think he can love anyone or have any feelings.

These characters have amazing chemistry and I couldn't help but fall in love with John. Zoe and John have the perfect good girl/bad boy vibe, she is so innocent and John is the mafia bad boy. I was on the edge of my seat reading this, and I cant wait for the next book in this series!!

Emotionlessly Embraced

Zoe, searching for answers behind her best friends disappearance.

John, searching for answers behind his uncle's death. I enjoyed John's character a lot; calculating, cold, deadly, and emotionless. That is until Zoe enters his life.

Both must lie and deceive, surrounded by deception in order to find their truths. Secrets, twists, and truths come to light as she embraces his darkness and he, her light.

The push a pull between the duo and his cousin, Marcus, has John setting aside his psychotic patterns and focusing on plans to bring his cousin, Sam, freedom. Steam level was hot and John was book boyfriend swoon worthy!

Crossover characters are mentioned from book one and leads into the third book in the series.

Firstly, I need me a John! I will legit even pay for shipping (and I never pay for shipping!!!)

The tension in this is off the charts. John is the very best kind of morally ambiguous "hero" He's not afraid of the dark and is more the willing to get his hands dirty.

Zoe is much sweeter, very much in the light and in over her head whilst still being strong. I love her determination to find out the truth even when she didn't exactly go the best way about it.

The added drama from John's family dynamics was interesting and not what I expected. I really added depth and showed just how much character development there was even though it was limited to his relationship with Zoe.

This is delightfully spicy with a nice touch of kink!! I'm very much looking for the next book in this series.

I really enjoyed getting to know more of the characters in the mafia world of Sinners of New Orleans. This book follows John and Zoe.
John is a psycho that is the killer of the family because of his lack of feelings and enjoyment of the kill.
Zoe is a liar working at a strip club to find out what happened to her friend Cassie that went missing.

The chemistry between the main characters was so sexy. The way John uses the Zoe's nickname kitten is sexy as hell. And don't even get me started on the collar 🥵

They're drawn together while they each have secrets and have to figure out if they can trust each other while also solving their problems.

I can't wait to see more from this family!

Heh, it wasn't my style. I tried something new and I was there until there was the whole daddy shit. We all have our preferences and dislikes in a book, this just so happens to be one of mine.

Tropes: Praising, LiarvsLiar, Who did this you, unexplainable attraction..

I tried something new by reading this book and I got to say, this is not my style. There was more praising then actual smut in this book, so. Zoe is set to find her best friend, which I do understand, but then when John pays for your whole night to keep you safe from his cousin, you go out, and back to the house because you want to be punished? That's where I started losing points here. Then again, blame it on the horniness in this book cause there's too much to count.

For starters, I did not love the first book of this series... This book, on the other hand, I read in 2 days. Deception is book 2 of the Sinners of New Orleans series. Mafia romance is the name of the game. Before diving into it, please check the TW when picking up this book. Moving along, the best comparison I saw someone write was this book is a Sopranos meets Dexter, and that is just absolutely perfect for this book. We have STEAMY romance, a murder investigation, and mafia drama. I gave this book four stars because I loved John and Zoe ( the main characters) and canted not wait for the next book to come out!

The praise in this book is just so good. This is book 2 in the Sinners of New Orleans series and I had just as much fun with this book as I did the first one. The way Zoe and John feed off each other and center the other is what we all need in life, they call each other out on their shit and then stand beside each other through any shit life tosses as them.

The story moves at a good pace but doesn’t rush through it, it’s a fast read but it keeps you interested as it goes on with you wanting to see what happens next

I can’t wait for the next installment and see where the story goes from here

This is the second in the Sinners of New Orleans series and follows in from events in the first novel. Those events tie the entire series arc (or rather they will) together and frame the first two stories well.

Deception follows the story of Zoe and John. Without spoiling the story, Lourose does a great job of characterizing these two, an essential in a well-written, dark romance. For those of us who grew up thinking that sometimes the villain was the one the FMC should have fallen for, we get that fantasy fulfilled in Lourose's book. I loved reading John and Zoe's story and I can't wait to read Madi's story, thanks to the teaser at the end of this book.

I will preface this with this book wasnt for me. Overall it was a good book but I am in a massive slump and reading this as an ARC reader took me forever 😅.

Review:

The relationship between John and Zoe was quick paced insta love, which is never a bad thing. Zoe's under lying secrets that she needed answers for were dark and desperate. I enjoyed Zoe's dynamic and character line overall.

The darkness that lies behind John is interesting to say the least, it could have been better developed but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I do think this book would have rated higher for me if I wasn't in a slump and if the pacing wasnt off.

Overall it was great and spicy.

Deception book 2 of the Sinners of New Orleans series by Natalia must be read if you’re looking for a new book boyfriend!

Zoe is a sneaky kitty on a mission and John is a psycho on a mission. Unknowingly a pawn in each of their agenda. For two people who have never had to play friendly they work wonderfully together!

I dub John as one of The Greatest Book Boyfriend Of All Time because he has a library! What a refined gentleman of taste but a psycho…but aren’t we all?!🙃

“I want to break her, watch come undone, but only for me. And then I want to build her back up, turning her into a queen.”

The battle for power in the Costello family is still waging on & I am eagerly awaiting the rise of the elusive Sam! But next stop: Obsession with Adrian and Madi. I’m ready for you two! 😈

I received this book as an ARC courtesy of the author in exchange for an honest review.

Zoe is a dancer at one of the clubs in New Orleans, the downside is that it is owned by the mob. She started working there after her best friend disappeared and she needed the money to support herself. The mob just had a shift in power after the mob boss was murdered by his nephew.

John was his uncles right hand- whenever you needed someone taken care of- he was the guy who did it. He is trying to get on the good side of his cousin who just took over to clear Sam's name while he rots away in prison. John has a bit of a temper and is known to be a little extra violent.

One night during a private party Zoe catches Johns eye, and everything is a whirlwind for there on out. John does whatever he can to make Zoe his- but Zoe is trying to figure out what happened to her best friend and she is pretty sure that the mob is the culprit.

This book has spice, violence, and a happy ever after-what more can you ask for. If you like mafia romances this author does a great job with them and they are so much fun to read.

Second installment of The Sinners of New Orleans series.  Deception follows John - mafia bad boy and Zoe - average working girl....they both carry their own secrets. What happens when their worlds collide?

Loved John & Zoe's story and the chemistry between them...talk about opposites attract🔥 If you love a sexy, controlling, possessive MMC then this book is for you!

Lots of drama, chaos, and secrets! You get to peek into Johns life...see what makes him tick and why he is the way that he is.

Excited to read about Madi in the next book!
