I should have died the day I got attacked and bitten by a wolf.

Hey there! I’m Kat and the day I caught my husband cheating my life changed for the better or worse you’ll have to see.

The same night I get ambushed by four angry wolves my wolf thought she could take them on so she foolishly tried to attack one of them but we blacked out and woke up in an unknown location.

That’s where I meet four sexy men. The four Alpha’s who take me away from my old life.

Tyler the sexy nerd

Benji the sexy rockstar

Az the sexy killer

Ash the sexy leader

Notice I say “sexy” that’s because they're all darn lickable even if I would have loved to think otherwise about Ash and Az who have clearly shown they don’t want me.

Tyler and Benji make me feel wanted like I haven’t felt in years… Wanted. But I’m still married.

Should I give in to this desire?

If you like older MC with kids and four sexy as sin men then this book is for you.

2.5 ✨

The storyline started off good, like it had potential. Then it just rapidly escalated and was super predictable. The writing was pretty equivalent to writing done by a teenager on wattpad, it was pretty amateur.

The characters were in their 30s or 200s+ yet acted like teenagers where as the female mc had teenagers of her own. Their personalities kept changing and it just didn’t make any sense.

In addition to this there was a ton of typos and it was incredibly annoying. The typos were so bad there is literally multiple times where the author switches the spelling of characters names lol. The daughters name is Ava but a couple times it’s Eva. The cooks name is half the time Lily the other half Lilly. Like how did no one catch that, how has no one said anything about it in any other reviews lol

I didn’t finish this book. I had such a hard time getting in to it. I liked that the main character was in her 30s and had kids. It was nice to attempt to read about someone my age. My main complaint is that the way the characters are written is a very disjointed. Every little detail of what they are doing at all times seems to be added in to make the book longer but it doesn’t need to be there. There was a lot of explaining step by step of what was going on even for minor things like walking out the door. The author tends to over explain and maybe in the future needs to simplify things a bit more.

This book was a little slow at first, but once it picked up it was amazing! I loved the storyline, and the female main character being a badass really topped it off! I would definitely recommend if you love fantasy and romance!

I really wanted to like this book....
I kinda kept comparing it to 'Wolves Next Door'. Both have latina mom with teenager/s, both been cheated on by husband who was their first and only man they been with, both ex found younger woman and didn't care much about their kids, and both fmc were housewives with no jobs...

And well in WND Elena been naive and overprotective of her child BUT it didn't equal with immaturity. In this book I feel that Kat despite her having kids in young age didn't grow up much.... I understand that she was naive and groomed a bit, but honestly she feels like a teenager...

Book is rushed, with no depth, minimal world building and no character development.

This is not the first book I've read by this author and wont be the last. I absolutely love the stories this girl writes and different worlds she creates.

Chapter 1 of this book got my blood boiling! Pshhhh, I was so mad for our FMC, Katerina. if I could come through the pages and help a girl out, I would....So, fast forward, after having one of the worst days of her life, she figures she needs to have a girls night and vent ASAP! Only, that girls night doesn't ever happen. When it rains, it pours, right? So naturally after the worst day ever, its quickly followed by the worst night ever...Broken, bloody and alone is all she remembers as she finally passes out.

Only when she wakes, she realizes how she wasn't dreaming and now the paranormal world is her new reality. She also wakes to realize, shes no longer home but in a mansion and home to 4 very gorgeous, drool-worthy men of the Iron Beast Pack. Instant desire and lust are immediate. But secrets.... Oh, theirs so many secrets...And we literally only find out answers to 1 in this book! When her divorce papers are finalized, she sees it as an opportunity for a new beginning, but is it really?

This book was a whirlwind of emotions. I am curious to know more about all of the guys and what their secrets are! And, someone has to know something about Kat's background. Its clear theirs definitely more to her story. I'm excited to find out more. Unfortunately, I felt like some parts dragged on and others were shortened. I really want to know more about the guys, Kat's own history and I wish the steam was steamier... lol.

*Overall 3.5/5
*Heat 2/5
*First person POV (All main characters, mostly Kat)
*Med-Burn
*RH but in this book only MFM...
*Ends on cliffhanger

I received and ARC of this book for my honest review and opinion. Thank you!

I received an advance copy of this book from the author. I loved this book and read it in one sitting.

Kat the FMC, is a thirty-two year old wife and mother. Who believed she has been with her husband Theo for 16 years, teenage love. Kat gave everything up to support her husband’s dreams and ambitions, only to come home early finding him having an affair with his much younger assistant. As she confronts him, he tells her that he wants her and the children out his house before the end of the week and that he will draw up the divorce.
Kat decides to meet with her best friend Jess at a diner to talk. That is when her life changes. She is attacked and bitten by a wolf, leading to her transition to a wolf herself. In the midst of her fear, not knowing who to turn to and attempting to find a solution for the future of her children (housing and financial). Kat runs into four sexy alpha males; Ash, Az, Benji, and Tyler. Who is to protect her and her children.

However, it is not safe for her. Turned wolves are normally killed and the wolf that bit her could try to take her away. What makes it more complicated is the color of her eyes, the secrets of who her real parents were and a curse.

Ash, Az, Benji, and Tyler are hot!! I love how much Kat grows with new confidence with the alphas and out from under her husband’s fake lifestyle. I enjoy how this book has an FMC who is a mother with a realistic body for a woman who has children. The author touches on the topic through actions of the FMC; on how hard a woman tries to keep her body slim after having children to please her husband.

I can not wait for book 2: I can not wait to learn more about the characters and after a cliffhanger like that ugh.

Debut novel?

This could have been very good but it was more like a synopsis than a book. Everything and everyone fell flat. The pace was rushed and the FMC and her kids are too understanding. 2 of the 4 MMC are so back and forth with their reactions to the FMC and one other one is so wishy-washy that there is no way he could be an alpha. Also it seems like she wanted every male character to be a psycho in some way, shape, or form and it's not working. Some character name errors and major plot holes. I also want to ask why the soon to be ex-husband seems to have trouble in one scene understand how the FML is alive when he had just talked to her. There is no indication within the existing plot to suggest she would have been dead in between the two phone calls. The flow of the book was total off and j can't even call it fast paced because the plot seemed to have so many holes. My recommendation would be for the author to maybe think about just beefing it up a lot more.

First DNF of the year.

DNF at 66%

I fell victim to Instagram reels which made me want to read this book in the first place and I am severely disappointed. Honestly I could probably tough it out but the rating would suffer if I did so instead I will just avoid reading it and explain to you why I did not finish.

This book felt so superficial. There's not a whole lot of depth to any of the characters or the interactions it's very flash in a pan. The main character is hot and cold the entire way, there's really not a consistent mentality. Her kids are extremely materialistic and are basically bought off by the harem with goods and shopping sprees to keep them happy which felt really disturbing in a way to me. I just felt like there wasn't a whole lot of connection between characters and after a spicy scene they immediately almost sound like they haven't even hooked up.

Nothing is really explained in the Magical World and everyone just kind of accepts that Supernaturals are real no one has any questions or doubts or concerns at all.

I absolutely LOVED this book!! 😍 This was an amazing start to a new series! 👏

Kat is our FMC, and she goes through some tough times in this book. She comes home to find her husband cheating on her. He tells her that her and the kids need to get out of the house and says some more colorful words. When she goes to meet up with her friend Jess at the diner, her whole life changes in one night.

Let me just say Benji, Tyler, Az, and Ash are, HOT! 🔥 I absolutely loved those possessive alphas. ❤️ I also loved how Kat grows and learns more about herself over the course of the book.

All in all, I LOVED it and can't wait for the next book! After that cliffhanger, I am super excited to see what happens! ❤️

On the fence

First let me start with the fact that this is the first of a series that is incomplete.

Second, I like the idea of this book but it's not quite cohesive. It jumps around a lot and needs expanding on many things. I get that there are to be more books and things will come to light and some already have but this leaves a lot to be desired.

The world and characters are interesting and it is a decent start. I'm not sold on the h. She is in a pickle and tons of stress but at the same time almost seems air headed and flighty. She doesn't quite mesh. The 4 H's are intriguing and are all opposites so its an odd dynamic.

I'm not sure over all of I'm interested in finding out what's happening which is pretty telling in itself.

This book was good for the first in the series. Kat is married to Theo and has two kids,Ava and Ezra. Kat walks in on Theo cheating with his assistant and the rest of the day becomes her most memorable. After she walks out to meet her friend at the diner she is bitten by a wolf. Az, Ash, Tyler, and Benji take her and her children in. The characters were good. I wish I got to know them more but can’t wait to find out about this curse in book 2. Is she a Luna alpha? She challenges the alpha stares often.

This is a new author for me. Wow this book just grabs you with mystery. The book is about Katarina or Kat who's world just turned on her when she catch her husband cheating. The same night she is bit and turned into a wolf. This book is about her journey as become a wolf and finding who bit her. Tyler, Benji, Az. And Ash are there to help her and her kids. This book ends on a cliffhanger that I can't wait to see how this is resolved and find out more.

On the Fence

I’m on the fence with this one. I can say that I don’t like having a closing at the end of the ebook. There shouldn’t be a lot of unanswered questions which is what was done here. There’s no hint of when the next book will be released either. I gave 3 stars because it is interesting and the writing is on point. I hope we don’t have to wait long for a conclusion.

The beginning of the book was a bit jarring to get into the writers style. There were things as the reader we just had to accept because it was a part of the story without it actually being explained. It has potential. I am starting on book two so it wasn’t a complete disaster for me but it wasn’t the best out there. Thankfully they are short so they are quick reads?

This book was a god read! There aren't a lot of books out there that have a single mom in them, so I was excited to pick this book up. It definitely didn't disappoint. There was a lot going on and I can't wait to see what happens in book two.

Series Review - 3.5 Stars

Now, this is a story all about how Kat's life got flipped-turned upside down, and I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you how she became the Queen of...(not Belair) lol.

Kat (FMC) has been married to Thorn for 16 years, and she's the mom of a 16-year-old (Ava) and a 15-year-old (Ezra). Her life comes crashing down around her when she comes home early one day and finds her husband screwing his secretary. Thorn isn't even ashamed. He gives Kat a week to get her stuff and leave their house with the kids. He doesn't want any of them!

That night, after being emotionally destroyed by her husband, Kat leaves the house to meet her friend at a diner. Unfortunately, Kat is attacked by a wolf and bitten on the way! Stuff happens, and she wakes up to 4 Alpha shifters.

This was a good book, a good series. I'd give it 3.5 stars because we were left with plot holes and unresolved threads. Also, the writing could have been better.

The relationship development was a bit lacking as well. One minute, FMC meets the guys, and everyone is wary and distrustful of each other. There are some small steps forward where they are starting to trust each other, and then BAM!! The "I Love You's" are happening all over the place. 👀 The spicy scenes were not written well either. They were super fast, glossed over, and awkward.

The plot line was predictable. I figured out all the major players and stuff early, so no surprise or suspense was involved. Still, I enjoyed reading this series despite all of that.

Haren
Tyler: Nerdy, tech wizard, strongest fighter
Benji: rockstar vibes, flirt
Az: assassin vibes, slightly psychotic, into BDSM. Despises Kat

Generously giving this 3 stars.
This had potential but there’s a lot of stuff going on that doesn’t mesh with other things that we’re going on, thus contradicting stuff in the story, in other words, it needs a content editor. I realize the world building is a learn as the FMC does, since she’s new to the paranormal world, but she wasn’t really being filled in on the wolfie world like she should have been. I didn’t really get where I liked any of the characters enough to want to read the next book, since they were flat. It was a toss up on the 4 guys, as 2 were good as far as being in the RH, but 2 were assholes & I wouldn’t have cared if they died. It would have been better if only 1 had been an asshole, to tip the scales a little more in their RH favor with the story. The characters acted much younger than their so called ages, especially the FMC, for a 30ish women/mom (don’t remember her exact age, but she was 16 when she had her 16 year old daughter…), she seemed more like a 20ish gal. Just not sure this was worth my time reading.

Cursed Purple

When Kat's 16 years of married life gets flipped upside down, four alpha wolves descend upon her and whisk away not only from her husband, but with her teenaged children in tow and a wolf bite on her neck.

Tyler, the hacker, information and surveillance
Benji, the rockstar, sweetheart
Az, the killer, hunter and interrogator
Ash, the leader with a bitter past and a chip on his shoulder

These four are the cursed alphas of the Iron Beast Pack are also hunting down a rogue witch; interrelated with their curse.

What the curse is? A secret yet divulged in the first part of the series.

Kat, married to a liar and cheater, she succumbs to them; especially her wolf. Slow burn, can tell the next part will have a bit more steam 🔥 Hidden pasts start to creep up on them causing the cliffhanger ending. Fun read with enough twists and turns to make it interesting.

Why purple in my title? Read and you shall see 😘

I got lost in this book. I didn't realize how fast I was reading it until it was over. Marked Wolf was AMAZING! I don't read many shifter books, but now I want to pick up more!!

Kat is amazing! She's going through a rough time and of course when she's down, it gets worse. Even though she's been knocked down, she does have some help to pick up the pieces.

Ash, Tyler, Benji and Az are 🔥🔥🔥 They may not all agree to her being there, but they do protect her when needed.

I loved this story. It's different than others and all the elements together sucked me in and I couldn't put it down. The things she's going through, besides the whole wolf thing, are very relatable.

It does end on a doozy of a cliffhanger, it came out of nowhere and now I need to find out what happens next. I'm excited for Cursed Wolf and excited for the rest of the series!

OHHHHHH MIST READ

Do u love shifters ? How about the sexy alpha hole? Tines that by 4 😉 I love me a good reverse harem .... let's get into it ....

Ima be honest at first I was like uhhh idk about this. I really can't stand a damsel in distress type thing. Especially when she is surrounded by hot , over the top caring men. HOWEVER.... fast forward a little ways. And dang sucks u right in. You don't see so many things coming. You have Kat who just keeps taking the blows and still going. But her alpha holes. Jesus take the wheel cause I sooooo want a piece of them.... I cannot wait to see how this series turns out. My only complaint is waiting so long In-between books. 😩 guys seriously jump into this serious I promise u will love it. ❤️

I liked the fact that the fmc was more mature and had kids.

Everything was fine she gonna be bew divorced got to findca way to stand on her own 2 feet. But nothing really happened.
She's meant to be learning what it is to be a wolf. Shes meantbto be asking her daughter about the boy/s she's friends with, She's meant to be heartbroken over her husband of 16 years and doesn't want it to end. Yet over the sapce of 4 days, we just got loads of sex whilst she waited to sign the divorce papers. Then she's kidnapped and rescued again.

We know the Alpha's are cursed but of no POV explaining the curse.

Oh...and her wolf has purple eyes with no explanation there, and a wolf tattoo appeared when she turned with no explanation there.

This had so much potential, but the plot was lacking story. 😫

Good Read

Marked Wolf follows Kat who, at the start of the book, finds out her husband has been cheating on her and wants a divorce and on her way to meet her best friend ends up getting bitten by a wolf, which leads to her and her children moving in with four alpha wolves. I enjoyed this story, I liked Kat as a character and loved watching her start to find her feet after being in such an oppressive marriage for so long. The book ended on a cliffhanger which had left me wanting to find out what happens in the next book and I’m looking forward to continuing to read Kats story. Overall, a good book with a good variety of characters and an interesting story. I would recommend giving it a read.

I thought this book is great.

I love how Kat is growing out of her trauma, slowly accepting the bad fate she had been dealt. Her kids are truly awesome. They really are grown-ups in kid body I think.

The developments that follow in this book leave you feeling a bit like "Wow, I knew there was something up but not this"

I love how the boys are divided in their feelings for her. Benji and Tyler both love her and accept that love while Az and Ash continue to hold themselves back. This also comes to a head in the book where they finally find out some hard truths.

I think this book was perfect.
