There’s darkness in us all.

For some, it’s persistent and obsessive. For others, it’s a brokenness one can only get from abuse and trauma.

I’m broken, my pieces shattered beyond repair. I’m also in love with two very different men. Hero, the president of a notoriously violent motorcycle club. And Rebel, the lead singer of the most popular rock band in the country. Two best friends who couldn’t be more opposite.

They slowly give me my strength back. Both giving me something I crave, pain and praise. Both loving me so immensely that I can’t help but love myself again.

My new life becomes filled with danger and brutal darkness. My abusive husband will never let me go, and a rival motorcycle club is breathing down our necks. But with my two men beside me, we can take on anything.

One thing I know for sure is that we’re all… positively villainous.

“I dare you to try, broken girl. You want to play with the devil, get ready to burn with him too.”

Please do not ignore the warnings at the beginning of the book. This is not light.

The Corpses of Hell has always been family to Hero, and he wasn't afraid to take matters into his own hands when his father began to turn the MC to more unsavory deals. Rebel, his VP, might be outwardly the darkest with most sadistic tendencies, but that doesn't make Hero weak. When a rival gang begins sniffing around the Corpses of Hell compound, the two go to put fear into them. But what they find isn't the man they were looking for, but his battered and bruised wife that is handcuffed to the bed. Unable to leave Maisie in this condition, they take her with them. Hero's connection is instantaneous where Rebel attempts to deter Maisie.

Can the two of them save Maisie?

+ MFM Romance
+ Brutal rival MC gangs
+ Plus size FMC
+ Rockstar
+ Praise

I am a sucker for a broken character healing and coming into their own so Maisie sucked me in instantly. Hero I obviously adored, light and gentle but not afraid to let the dark out when he needs to, but Rebel was his contrast. Rebel was always dark, opening scenes painting this picture well in their depiction of his graphic torture methods, but even he isn't the monster in Maisie's life and the three of them slowly burn into a romance.

The violence is gruesome so heed those warnings.

The ending does set up for the next book and I can't wait to read it! Villainous was a quick read and the constant action and progress kept the story from dragging.

Thank you to Art Sapphire for an ARC of Villainous!

I will have to admit I struggled with this and had to step away a few times.

This book would have been perfect if it were just a rockstar romance or just a MC romance. Adding these two romances just didn’t blend well and make it believable for me.

Hero and Rebel’s inner dialogue was way to soft to represent that darkness that the author was trying to express. I didn’t find this dark at all, even with a few violent moments it still didn’t get there for me.

I liked the rockstar aspect but mixing in the MC made it seem like two different stories were being written then mixed together.

Don't steal from the Corpses of Hell MC. They'll find you, and they'll make you pay.

When Hero and Rebel learn that someone has stolen from their MC, they get the club together and go on a hunt to find the man who wronged them. Little did they know, they would find so much more. Maisie thought Charlie loved her, but it was all an act to get his greedy hands on the inheritance her mother left her with. When the Corpses of Hell find Charlie, they find Maisie too, and they don't like what he's done to her. They make him pay and take her out of the horrible situation she's been living in. Not only are they her heroes but she realizes that their music is the safe space she used to escape to when bad things were happening.

With the help of Hero and Rebel, Maisie learns to love herself and work through the insecurities she feels because of the abuse her husband put her through. She learns to love herself and embrace her curvy body. Though the pain of the past will always haunt her, she learns to overcome the bad memories. But when you're part of the most notorious MC around, trouble doesn't stay away for long.

Villainous is the first book in the Corpses of Hell series, and I can't wait to read more about the other characters that were featured in this book. I absolutely love Maisie, and love that she's a plus-size FMC! Some, not all, of the insecurities she faces in the book, are insecurities I have faced in my life when it comes to my body. I always appreciate it when authors write characters that are more like me and go through some of the struggles I've dealt with.

Please read the trigger warnings before reading the book. Some darker themes may not be suitable for everyone.

WOW! This story was a bit dark, definitely violent, super steamy and a little bit twisted. It was a unique combination of a rockstar/motorcycle club together as one story, which I absolutely loved. Right from the very beginning pages I was completely captivated with Hero and Rebel and what they needed to do to change the way their club was run. That was intense! The story continually had me gripping my kindle tightly and turning the pages quickly to see how it would all turn out in the end.

When Hero and Rebel find Maisie tied up to her bed, battered and bruised, by her sadistic husband, they both at that moment feel some sort of connection to her and decide to take her with them. You could feel that instant connection tethering Hero, Rebel and Maisie together right away. You just knew that they were meant to find each other at that moment in time. It was incredible to see how their dynamics would grow together and how they would navigate all of their own demons and help each other heal. But things quickly turn heated, and that connection becomes an explosion of lust and desire between the three of them. Hero and Rebel will melt your panties in their own deliciously twisted ways.

I really enjoyed this story. It was dark and light with all kinds of violence in between. It was really well written with such amazing characters that you can’t help but fall in love with and with a storyline that was addictive, deliciously steamy, dark and twisted.

I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing new series.

Beauty in Darkness

This book was not what I was expecting. Corpses of Hell MC has always wanted to be better than their beginnings. With making new changes, their enemies quickly come out and The Psychos MC are at the top of the list. When Hero and Rebel along with the rest of their MC, get word on someone stealing from them, they are quick to react but never thought they'd meet their future.

Maisie. Married to an awful man in The Psychos, abused and raped almost daily, she dreams of escaping and a new beginning. When Hero and Rebel stumble upon her, none of them expected their lives to be irrevocably changed. Maisie needs both of them like she needs air, both a contrast of the light and the dark she craves and needs.

When Corpses of Hell leave for their music tour, the only option is to bring their stow-a-way along. Tension rises, feelings are over whelming but the darkness is closing in and finally it feels like Maisie is coming home.

The Psychos are amping up their level to get the upper hand and when the showdown finally happens, someone they all love will be caught in the crossfire. Can the three of them really find a happy medium with their romance and get to this HEA they all crave, even in the dark?

I enjoyed this book. I thought some of the MC talk was a little soft and I would have liked more of the MC...but mixing MC with music like this was new and original. The kinks weren't too bad at all and the steam was off the charts. I look forward to more!

I loved this book 100%. They both call her beautiful and baby blue❤️. The boy's character development was phenomenal. I loved that their connection in the three way relationship grew as they learnt together instead of it being jealousy. I mean I love that our girl Maisie didn't have to choose. Tbh who would want to choose?! I definitely NEED book 2 immediately! Y'all go check this author and her books!

Well let's just say that this book was so different from what I am used to reading. How do you mix rockstars with MC's? Well, it certainly fit in perfectly with this story.

Hero and Rebel are both in an MC but they also are in a band which Rebel is the lead singer and Hero manages the band. They find themselves with Maisie, who was living a life of hell with her husband and if it weren't for Hero and Rebel, who knows how her life would still be like. They saved her and took her under their wings. Although Hero was definitely the sweet and gentle and Rebel was dark and sinister, but that didn't scare Maisie, she was glad these men saved her and are now protecting her.

They have found a common ground between all three -- and who would have thought that Maisie would end up falling for both, the angel and the devil!! Although Hero is no angel, but when it comes to Maisie he is her angel and Rebel is her devil.

This book quickly captured my full and undivided attention to the point where when I reached the end, I kept trying to keep turning to see if more pages were after the last one!

One deliciously angsty read that will leave you gripping your seat!

DNF @60%. Since no one is going to tell the truth, I will. This book is unbearable. Straight up glorying rape, domestic and child abuse is not ok and the heroine has zero personality. The conflict seems resolved halfway through and I have no idea where it was even going after that. The two heroes treat her like an actual little girl (weird vibes from that already) and they fell in love with her after finding her post-rape?? Come on.

Oh and these guys are murderers in charge of a huge motorcycle gang and somehow the most famous band in the country yet they never deal with a label, management, and are somehow pulling big ass tours together on their own with no outside opinion/help? BFFR.

I NEVER DNF bc I don’t like wasting a book I paid for and put time into so the fact that I couldn’t finish this says a lot.

It’s as if every 13 year old alt tumblr girl’s (circa 2014) fantasy comes alive in this book, but then she remembers she’s an adult now and those fantasies were fucked up and cringe.

I think I’d re-read After before ever going back to this. And I can read that for free on Wattpad just as I could’ve with this one.

Stephannie's 5-Star Review:
Hero and Rebel take over the Corpses of Hell  MC from their dads by killing them all and remaking the MC without abuse of women like Hero's sister Astra. Rebel is Hero’s second he’s a lovable psycho who tortures their enemies to get information from them. This MC is also a masked rock group minus Hero who is their manager.

On one hunt to find a guy named Charlie who’s stolen from them they find his wife Maisie handcuffed to the bed full of bruises. They rescue her and bring her with them. Hero has an instant connection but Rebel denies any feelings and tries to show her he is a monster.
I really enjoyed reading this one. I love a good RH story and I love Hero and Rebel. I love their connection to each other and Maisie. Hero and Rebel healed each other and now heal Maisie. I love broken characters who throughout the story grow and heal from their tormented past. I can’t wait for book 2 for Astra's story.

Please check the trigger warnings.

(3.5 stars❤️)

This is my first ever read from this author and I'm pleasantly surprised how much I loved this book <3

Hero and Rebel are the ultimate yin and yang but I absolutely adored their brotherly bond. Maisie's character growth was amazing to watch and I love how the men encouraged her throughout (although, Rebel had a way showing his "love" towards Maisie; but then again, he needed some healing too)

They brought the best out of each other.

How the author pulled the MC vibe with rockstar vibe is beyond my imagination, though I'd have loved to see more of the rockstar vibes.

If you like curvy, feisty FMC who's got her men on their toes, and MMC's who worships the ground their woman walks on, and some kinks, this is certainly the book for you <3

I've struggled a bit with this story. I need to agree with someone else's comment that it should be mc romance or rock star one. I don't think mixing both was really necessary. It was unrealistic and chaotic.
I was really looking forward to reading this but I was slightly disappointed. I found the characters a bit immature, and I couldn't completely connect with them. I was planning to read other books in this series, but I'm not entirely sure if I'll go for it now...
The kink was one of the things that kept me entertained.
Always remember that these are my personal thoughts about the book, and I'll always suggest checking it out yourself. Because this simply wasn't something for me but might be interesting and fun to read to someone else!

I loved this story. It was fantastically written. I adored Maisie, Hero, and Rebel so much. This is a story of healing for basically all of the main characters. It was amazing to see Maisie’s growth throughout the book as well as Rebel’s. These men would literally destroy the entire planet for Maisie, and that is relationship goals right there. The storyline was very interesting and the smut was to die for. Also, plus size representation??? Badass. Hero was kind and light and Rebel was dark and scary which gave a nice contrast between the characters. Maisie did well at balancing the both of them too. Beautifully done!

Finding a new to me author is without a doubt one of my favorite things! This dark tale brought the heat!

Masie. She started this tale broken and afraid, but we saw her grow so much. Who knew a group of delectable, bad boys was what she needed to overcome her insecurities and grow into a strong woman not afraid to take what she wants!

Really enjoyed this book, and I’m looking forward to what’s next!

So let’s start off by saying I love Hero and Rebel. But…I don’t like Maisie. She was a little whiny for me at some parts of the book. I loved her strength when it finally came to an end with her husband and especially with the other MC. But she wasn’t nearly as strong as I wanted her to be throughout the book. Damage takes strength to get over and I think she kind of just used the guys as her strength but I wanted to see more inner strength!

Some things in the book were a bit repetitive for me also. We all love some praise and I love to get to know the people and figure out what made them who they were but I feel sometimes it was repeating how abusive her husband was or how much love all of them really wanted but didn’t know how to accept. And then how much they loved one another.

The spice was

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is a dark romance that you will for sure want to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. This book will contain triggers for some readers.
This is the story of Hero, Rebel and Maisie. It is not a pretty love story by any means but one that I loved reading so much. One is the son of the President of the Corpses of Hell MC. His father was by no means a good man and the club that they were in the beginning is is not the club that they are today and that is because of his dad. The time has come for Hero to take the reigns and turn the club back into the club they wanted it to be in the very beginning. Rebel is his VP and also one of the members of one of the most popular rock bands in the country. When a rival gang begins sniffing around their compound, Rebel and Hero go out to put some fear into them. Easy, right. Until they don't find the man they are look for but a woman handcuffed to a bed and badly abused. They can not leave her there like that and Maisie is taken with them to their compound and the beginning of these three meeting will change them all forever. Hero has an instant connection to Maisie where Rebel tries his level best to deter her. This is the story of a very broken woman who seriously needs to heal and I love that we got to watch her along with Hero and Rebel make that happen. Hero was just absolutely an amazing man to read about and of the to Rebel is the darkest. Where Hero is not afraid to let the darkness in him come out to play, Rebel wears it like a second skin and is the most brutal of the two but I really loved him too. This book is such an amazing experience to read but the cliffhanger left me needing the second book now. I can't wait to see what happens and where we go in the next book.

Holy wow, this book! It is a dark, MC/rockband romance. Tropes include throuple, grumpy/sunshine, praise, degradation, don/sum relationships, knife and blood play, and CNC among others. Please check trigger warnings, there are a lot of them.

Hero becomes Prez the Corpses of Hell MC where he grew up after killing off the older generation that had run the club prior. He wanted to make it better, get away from the drug running. After something had been stolen from the club by the rival MC, Psychos, Hero and his second - Rebel, along with some others in the MC go on the hunt for them. What they don't expect to find is Maisie chained to a bed after being abused by her husband. With the Psychos closing in on their location with more manpower than what they brought their only option is to take Maisie with them to get her out of the abusive relationship.
After two years of taking abuse from her husband, Maisie willingly leaves with the MC. It's Rebel's music that allowed her to disassociate with the abuse she endured. While with the Corpses, Maisie learns to get her strength back through Hero's praise and takes control of her dark side with Rebel. She's the perfect balance that keeps Hero and Rebel grounded.

I really enjoyed the mix of MC and Rockband tropes, it's not something that is seen often but it just works so well. At one point it's strongly focused on the band's tour and then slides back into the MC trope. I only gave this book 4 starts because I feel like the ending was a bit rushed, almost like an afterthought that this was a MC and there needed to be that closure. Otherwise, this would have easily been a 5 star read for me. Maisy went through so much trauma before the Corpses rescued her. There is a lot of growth that happens with her character and I loved to see her spark and spunk come back. Her personality also brings healing to Rebel and the demons he's suppressed for so long. It's just a great dynamic with these three...and the spice is off the charts! For a MC there was a lot of reiteration of feelings that I felt was a bit more suited for a romcom. But the dark elements that are present are D-A-R-K and balance this out well. These characters go through a LOT. I'm really excited to read the next book in the series and learn more about Hero's sister, Astra.

Wow, where do I even start?

Villainous is book one of the Corpses of Hell series by Art Sapphire. This is my first book by this author, and it most definitely won’t be my last.

It’s a dark MFM MC/Rockstar romance with multiple first-person POVs and a long list of trigger warnings, so please read those first before starting the book.

I don’t want to give too much away because I highly recommend you all read it, but what I will say is that I loved it!!!

My heart belongs to Hero and Rebel. They’re both confident, strong, and possessive men, but have such a soft and sensitive side as well. Maisie was quite scared and fragile in the beginning due to her history, but she really grew into a badass babe in the end with the help of her guys, and I am living for it!

One of my favourite things about the book was the solid character development and the relationship they built together. All three main characters had their own stories and struggles to overcome, and they did it beautifully. Their relationship definitely wasn’t forced, and that made the story that much better! They love each other fiercely and would do anything for each other. The spice between the three of them is hot and just perfect, if you ask me.

I honestly cannot recommend this book enough and am really looking forward to Astra’s story next.

There will be spoilers in this review so do not read further if you have not read the book yet!

Check warnings before reading. This is an adult book with sensitive content.

I was a little confused at the entire set up of this book, but it works. They are an MC gang that takes over the club by killing off all the leaders, so the younger generation can rule and better the gang. They also happen to be rockstars and bring in an insane amount of money, which I guess is a good cover for a MC gang so they aren’t bothered whenever they do things at their compound.

So the books first few chapters after that start with a girl, Maisie, who’s beaten by her husband is saved by the corpses (mc gang) after they come to collect a debt her husband owes from stealing motorcycles. When they come in the house to get her husband, they find Maisie tied up to the bed and bloody. The two main characters in the corpses, have an almost instant attraction to her. Hero, the leader, becomes very protective over her, while rebel keeps his distance because he thinks no one can accept him and his crazy fetishes and need for violence, but Maisie can. Anyway, they bring Maisie back to their compound to care for her and give her her own room. One member gets way to hands on with her at dinner (this guys been on a thin rope for a while) and they literally cut his hand off to remove the gang tattoo and kick him out.

The little while later the gang goes on tour and they bring Maisie with them. Lots of things happen, bringing the 3 main characters together, which includes Maisie shooting her husband when he tries to come back for her and rebel ultimately taking him to the the torture trailer that travels with them on tour. All 3 main characters actually become a throuple and Maisie is allowed into the gang, with rebel tattooing the gang skull on her hand.

There is a lot of intense spicy scenes, definite fetishes and a lot of violence. Check your trigger warnings.

That being said, I loved this book! The writing, plot, characters, they all meshed well together. Art Sapphire is becoming one of my favorites! Like I said, the set up was a little different, but I’m really happy I gave this book a chance! I highly recommend it!

Well, this book has me by the throat.

The idea of a MC/Rockstar mashup wasn't one I had ever seen before, but honestly, it worked so well. I think these characters and their unique personalities were perfect for the scene. Hero and Rebel are so dramatically different, and yet, they both have a lot of baggage and a lot of trauma that they're still working through. Seeing the two of them interact, and interact with others, is a really interesting depiction of how similar trauma's can manifest in different people. Hero has a desperate need to care for others and maintain control, while Rebel is violent and angry.

Meanwhile, Maisie is a breath of fresh air for them, and for the reader. Also a victim of abuse and coming with her own share of trauma, there were a lot of opportunities for Maisie to be a timid character, and yet, that's not what we got. What we got instead was a steadfast, strong woman who struggled to push her trauma aside and allow herself to grow from it into, to transform into a soldier in her own right.

This was a book that had some incredible side characters too, each clearly with stories to tell. Knowing this is book one in a series, I hope to see those characters more in coming works. Hints were dropped at past relationships and I'm very excited to see the way that life's events and the course the club has taken, change the dynamics of those relationships.

This book was dark and full of triggers. Violence, CNC, Blood, Rape, Dom/sub aspects, breath play, knife play, guns, and more.

*The only thing I felt like would have made this book better would have been any intimate scene in which the two male characters crossed. There was a brief moment when I thought we might get it, but it was fleeting and didn't quite happen. There was a LOT of intimate chemistry between the boys, and a lot of HEAVY emotional ties. I think opening them up to a romantic/sexual relationship with each other as well as Maisie would have added a beautiful extra layer.

This is my first read by Art Sapphire and I'm beyond impressed with it. Villainous is a MFM romance that is gritty, emotional and is full of characters that you will love and thoroughly despise.

Maisie's pain and suffering bleeds from the pages, but there is a light that relights her own and when this young woman regains her strength it's a very beautiful sight. I absolutely adored seeing her rebuild and find her true inner strength and self to become such a strong individual with endless love to give, even after all her suffering.

Hero and Rebel are the light and the dark - both of them winning me over with their yin/yang balance and prove that some of the best bonds are those found in the darkest of times. Both men come from a harsh upbringing and are about as opposite as opposite can be when it comes to personalities. Where Hero lives up to his name and is kind, Rebel is the beast in the dark hunting his prey. They didn't expect little Maisie, but they can't deny the hole that she fills in both of their hearts.

I didn't really know what to expect when I dived into this novel, but I wasn't disappointed. Villainous is a MFM romance that is gritty, emotional and is full of characters that you will love and thoroughly despise. It's packed with the perfect amount of suspense, action and steam. Some may feel like this is more of a slow burn romance, but I think the author paced this perfectly - I feel as if it would've taken away from the story itself if she moved it quicker. I found myself greedily devouring the pages as the story unfolded, showing that even the most broken of souls have the capability of healing and everyone deserves love. I loved how Art built the all the characters and didn't make the main male characters seem unbreakable, she didn't hesitate showing them as vulnerable. I really enjoyed how she combined the MC genre with rock star so flawlessly, this truly is a beautiful story that packs a punch and I can't wait to see where she takes Astra's story.

Not in love

I love a why-choose scenario. I love traumatized MCs. I love when characters get dark, dirty and bloody with each other and murderous with others. I didn’t really love Villainous.

I appreciated having a non-standard, non-cliche FMC: Maisie (loved the name) is plus sized and very insecure about it, but Hero and Rebel fall in love with her whole package. Despite being traumatized repeatedly by her bastard of a husband, she comes to trust Hero and Rebel with her whole heart and soul. Because of that, she comes to accept, love and see herself through their eyes. It’s a great journey and transformation.

What threw me off about Maisie was that she went from being abused for 3 years - no eye contact, no speaking up, very closed off, to smirking at the bad guys and giving them the guff. And shooting people. I’m all for a transformation but it felt rushed.

I loved everything about Hero and Rebel: as prez and VP of the Corpses of Hell MC, they’re no strangers to violence and vengeance and blood. But, I thought it was going to get a lot darker than Rebel complaining how nobody will love him because he likes blood play. (He loves primal play too.) honestly, both these men sounded like great MMCs, but for me, they just seemed a little too insecure and let that part of themselves outshine their sexy darkness.

What I also had trouble believing was the mixing of genres: MC with rock star. Rebel IS the rockstar god. His band is made up of the other members of church (aka the main crew of the MC). Hero is the manager. It felt hard to believe they could all just up and travel for a nationwide tour and leave their MC vulnerable to attack, which it did.

I wish I could’ve loved this more! The preview for the next book sounds amazing, so I am looking forward to that!

Villainous is a book I couldn't put down once I started reading it. Please do be aware this is a very dark story and will not be for everyone. Art Sapphire definitely set a tone for the Corpses of Hell MC and I'm very intrigued.

Hero took over the family's MC when his father was taking it a way he didn't care for and something his grandfather never would've tolerated. He's been through a lot of abuse and just wants his "family" safe and happy. Rebel is Hero's second and went through just as much trauma if not more and has a dark side he doesn't think anyone could possibly love.

When something is stolen from them they go after what's theirs. They never expected to find Maisie. Maisie didn't have an easy life and when she meets Charlie she thinks she finally found someone who will love her. That changes once they're married and she's abused daily. She never expects to make it out alive when she's found tied to a bed after Charlie has stolen from another MC. But life takes a different turn.

I'm honestly not the type of person that love instalove and that kind of feels this way with Rebel, Hero, and Maisie, but in this story it just worked. All of them have a dark past and aren't really sure if they're worth loving. Coming together Maisie makes them both realize their dark pasts and dark sides don't define them. Villainous made me laugh and cry, but it was so good! My only complaint would be the ending felt a bit rushed, but other than that I loved Villainous!

Also, I loved the rockstar aspect of this story and the lyrics we got to see a few times. There are quite a few side characters in this book I'm curious about and I can't wait for more books in this world. Art Sapphire is a new author for me to keep an eye on!

So this is my first book by Art Sapphire and I really enjoyed it! If you love a good MC romance with alphas who will do whatever needed for their woman, then you should dive right in!
Hero is the Prez of the club, and is the thoughtful, organized, light, and controlled alpha in the relationship. I should also mention he’s a good praiser and caretaker!
Rebel is the VP of the club and lead singer in the band. He is dark…period. I love him. He is the complete opposite of Hero, but they are best friends.
Maisie, AKA beautiful, broken girl, and baby blue. This girl has been through hell, but comes out strong as f*ck. I loved her character. Hero and Rebel find her tied to a bed and abused. This is where the love story begins. These men take her and make her see how strong she is, they bring back the Maisie before she was in a shitty situation and she turns fearless. I love it! Maisie accepts the men as they are, which is what they really need. All of the characters in this story have been through trauma and they all heal together! I will be picking up Astra’s story, Monstrous, as soon as it comes out (1/17)!
“Imagine that…an angel making a monster her slave.” -Rebel
“He doesn’t get to give up. I won’t let him. “
“Everyone has baggage, Rebel. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be loved because of it.” -Hero
“If you keep pretending to be someone you’re not, I’ll be loving someone who isn’t even real.”- Baby blue
“I am a Corpse of Hell. Are you ready to burn?” -Maisie

Having read Ms.Sapphire's Rule Breakers Series i couldn't wait for more from her! From the moment that i found out about this book i instantly started looking forward to it! I picked it up as soon as i could and got right into the Corpses of Hell world! I so enjoyed this story!

Maisie, Hero, and Rebel's journey pulled me in! Right from the moment Hero and Rebel are brought into Maisie's life, i couldn't wait to see how everything would play out for them!

I really liked how i didn't know what all to expect and how this story kept me on the edge of my seat. There was such strength to Maisie that i so admired. Both Hero and Rebel were different and i enjoyed getting to dig deeper with them as well. The chemistry between Maisie and her men Hero and Rebel was great! I felt many emotions while reading. I didn't know how these characters would tackle everything and that got me even more into the story!

I thoroughly enjoyed getting into this world for the first time and what the other characters brought to the story!

With Villainous, Ms.Sapphire has created such a good, dark, and one of a kind read that had me feeling so much! I can't wait for more from her and this world!

There are triggers in this story, be sure to read the author's note in the book description for more info.

I was so happy when I received this ARC. I finished this in two days. Please check TW there are some sensitive topics. This book definitely wasn’t what I was expecting, it was so much more.

I love the family Hero and Rebel have formed for themselves once they take over their family motorcycle club. They remake everything for the better and even form a very popular rock band.

Maisie has gone through hell and back but when two members of an MC find her abused in her home they take her with them and help her find herself again. Maisie grows so much throughout the story and becomes such a strong badass.

The way their relationship progresses is beautifully done. They both give her so much love and confidence and show her how perfect she is for them. The relationship didn’t feel forced, it was supernaturally done. Also the spicy is perfect and really well done. 🌶🌶🌶🌶

✨ “I’ve seen monsters in this world. You’re not one of them, no matter how hard you try to convince me otherwise.” ✨

The ending was amazing and I can’t wait for Astra's story in book two.

Please know there are a lot of different kinks in this book (Praise, blood, primal kinks, and many more) it also talks about different trauma.

What an amazing mix of MC and a Rockstar Romance. Hero and Rebel are the president and VP of the Corpses of hell MC as well as super famous rock band. When Hero and Rebel go on a hunt for a man who has stolen from the MC they don't expect to find Maisie a women beaten and abused by her husband. One look at her and they both are drawn to the broken girl. Maisie has been through so much her self esteem is nothing and she is beyond broken inside. All three of the characters have so much darkness and are broken in some emotional way that they fit like a puzzle together. As the story progresses we see that Maisie is helping the men heal in ways they didn't think they could and they are helping her build her emotional strength that they have seen in her from the start. This story is a twisted dark and gritty tale that will take you to the dark side and back again, but will also let you see the light true love can bring to broken souls. These men will worship the ground Maisie walks on and she will help bring them peace to the crazy world they live in. There are twists and secrets that come out that will bring us right into the next book in the series and I can't wait to find out what's going to happen next. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

***4.5 Stars***

This was the first book I have read from Art Sapphire and I have to say that I loved it. The book starts with some dark, unexpected events that had me hooked right from the start. If you have any triggers, make sure you check out the warnings because there are several potential triggers throughout this book.

Maisie has turned into a shell of who she used to be after suffering years of abuse from her husband. I loved seeing her get her fire and strength back as her relationship with Hero and Rebel developed. I loved Hero right from the start. He is not your typical MC President. He likes control, but is still vulnerable at times. I knew right from the start that there was more to Rebel then he initially showed. He had me laughing at times, but as he opened up more I really fell for his character!

I really enjoyed this book because it combines two of my favorite groups - MCs and rockstars! I loved the dynamics between Maisie, Hero, and Rebel. There are several twists in the book that kept me flipping to see what was going to happen with these characters. I am really excited for the next book in this series especially after the preview at the end of book 1.

I LOVED this book. Never thought MC plus rockstar would be a thing but it totally works.

Only negative was one scene with one of the hero’s where he has a random girl grinding on his lap. There are no full on details and it was a short scene. Heroine walks in on it, gets turned on, and dips to “take care” of herself. The hero couldn’t get his ⬇️ up until he noticed the heroine watching so there’s that but still. Not a fan. Luckily I wasn’t a fan of him at this point so it didn’t affect me much.

That said, I did love one hero more than the other especially in the beginning half BUT I ended up loving them both. It took a bit but we got there, which I think is the point.

Villainous is book one of the Corpses of Hell series of interconnected standalones. This is my first book by this author and definitely won’t be my last! I loved the writing style, plot, the characters…everything!

Hero is the President of Corpses of Hell MC and Rebel is his VP. They took over the club from their parents and cleaned it up and rebuilt it. Not everyone is happy with that decision and a rival club wants to make them pay. Maisie is in an abusive marriage and when her husband steals from the Corpses of Hell they find her tied to the bed, beaten and bruised. They aren’t about to leave her behind so they take her with them to help her escape her husband. Hero is so caring and loving toward Maisie and can’t help but wonder if she’s meant to be his. Rebel has a very dark side and enjoys hurting others…and unaliving them! He is certain that sweet, innocent Maisie can’t handle his darker side.

This book has action, suspense, drama, twists, secrets, betrayal, heartache, and spice. It has alphaholes that need the right woman to open their hearts and show they deserved to be loved. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait for Astra’s story!

✨ ARC Review ✨

Villainous by Art Sapphire

——————————————————

“I dare you to try, broken girl. You want to play with the devil, get ready to burn with him too.”

⭐️: 4/5
🌶: 4/5

An MC, dark romance involving a plus-sized woman, a rockstar, and the president of the MC. I loved Maisie, Rebel, and Hero. I need more of their story.

Maisie is saved from her abusive husband when Hero and Rebel come to kill her husband for stealing their bikes. Maisie, Rebel, and Hero form an instant connection, but while Maisie and Hero embrace their connection, Rebel is slightly more hesitant. Watching these three on their journey was beautiful. Hero was finally getting the family he’d been wanting for a while. Maisie was regaining her confidence and learning what real love was. Rebel was learning it was possible to be loved and accepted even with his darkest desires. While the three go through some obstacles such as their insecurities and interference of a rival MC, their bond is undeniable. It made for a good, page-turning read. If Astra’s story is anything like this one, I’ll be hooked from page one.
