Bitterwood Prep isn’t a place where the weak survive—it’s the tomb where they go to die.
Of all the obstacles I expected to overcome this year, fighting for my life wasn’t one of them. Nor did I intend to sell my body and soul to my three tormentors—Cashel, Bentley, and Professor Vaughn. But Principal Windsor, the sick fuck who’s running this farce of a school, has turned what was once the most prestigious prep college into something much darker and sinister.

Bitterwood Prep.

Students are forced to endure one sick game after another with one singular goal—to strip us of our very humanity for a profit. Here, kindness and compassion will get you killed. Bloodlust, violence, and seduction are rewarded. That’s the price of survival. The question is…why am I so eager to pay it?

The answer—because I get off from the pain.

From Professor Vaughn’s savage dominion.

From Cashel’s cruel possessiveness.

From Bentley’s ruthless control.

I can’t get enough of it. Their lust is toxic oxygen giving me breath, so I crawl to them, desperate for more. My cravings are twisted, but so is this place.

And I’ll get my dark fix here at Bitterwood Prep.

*Bitter Rivals is book one of the Bitterwood Elites Series. This book is a dark contemporary, bully, reverse harem romance series and is intended for mature audiences only. You can expect dark themes and explicit scenes including: bullying, student/teacher relationship, enemies to lovers, dark romantic scenes, graphic violence, and more. If such material triggers or offends you, please do not read this book. Bitter Rivals will end on a cliffhanger.*

I saw this on one of my searches for my next book to read and this popped up a few times, one clicked, started it last night and OMFG WTF am I reading!! It's like the HUNGER GAMES on CRACK!!

A few WTF bombs were dropped whilst I started reading this in bed last night!!

Drugged
A deadly maze

WTF is going on!!

Can someone please tell me when the next book is due out?

Imagine getting accepted into a university, all seems above board, you go to bed in your dorm room with your new appointed roomie and every single student wakes up in a literal pit of hell.

Newbie dark readers, step away from this book, it's pretty dark, it's not for the faint of heart, you'll definitely end up questioning your morales, this book went where I didn't expect it to, and honestly I've never read anything like it, my heart had an extra beat to it, my foot was tapping, my palms were sweaty! Now I really badly need the next book!!

Loved it! It’s dark and twisty with Hunger Game vibes but throw in some romance – I’m using the word lightly – on top of that. It's dark and depraved. Please read the trigger warnings, there are lots of them! This won’t be for everyone.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it was something different, and it had a great dark vibe. Remi wakes up to a walking nightmare having no idea how she got there, but it becomes clear very early on that it’s everyone for themselves. How are they supposed to form relationships when it’s everyone for themselves and knowing that the people you care about will be used as leverage against you? Your every move is being watched and every day is a new competition – one where you either fight or die. It’s filled with action, lots of secrets, and many unanswered questions.

The spice is dark and dirty – there’s nothing sweet here but it’s oh so delicious. I can’t wait for the next one, I just know it’s gonna be good. I really have no idea where it’s headed, but these ladies really know how to tell a story, and I am so here for it! It’s addicting and I’m completely invested in these characters. If you like dark RH with a fight-or-die vibe this is for you!

Man, I freaking wanted to love this sooooo bad! I actually really enjoyed the first 20% or so, but things got too dark for me, and I stopped enjoying it.

At 52%, I realized that I didn't like a single character in this book, and that makes it hard for me to go on. Like, why am I wasting my time reading about people and things that I care nothing about?? My TBR is just too long for that shit.

Here's the thing...this isn't a bad book, it's just not a book for me. I cannot abide , so I struggled through this one until ultimately deciding to DNF it.

But Blendy...there are TW's all OVER the place for this book, why didn't you heed them?? Because I typically DO like dark books! I just don't like , and I didn't see those listed, so I jumped in head first into this. Oooops.

Anyways, for all my lovelies that adore dark and delicious reads, then you will really like this one. However, if you do have any triggers, then I urge you to be smarter than me and search them out, because this book has quite the collection.

This ain't your mama's romance, thats for dang sure. This dark and twisted tale is a dog eat dog, survival of the fittest, with some hunger games thrown in the middle. There are sexy times, and dark, times, check your trigger warnings please. This book has a ton of lust, sexy times, hate, rage, violence, cunning, and way, way more. The main characters are absolutely dark and depraved, even Remi to a certain extent.
The pace is incredibly fast with non stop action, and since it's told in multiple POV, you really get a sense where everyone is, in their headspace. The world building is phenomenal, I picture something dark dreary and almost victorian in the setting, but, someone else might picture something else. This book will for sure keep you guessing, and wanting more. I know I cannot wait for the next book to come out.

My jaw is on the floor! This book had so many twists and turns, blood and gore, and lots of spice! Children of the elite believe they're going to the prestigious Oakwood Prep, but they're actually being sent to fight for their lives at Bitterwood Prep. Think the Hunger Games, but with rich participants who didn't know what they were getting themselves into.

Remi isn't like most girls. She's outdoorsy and comfortable with who she is, unlike most of her peers who like to alter their bodies and act entitled all the time. She stands up for herself and does what she needs to for her own survival. Upon her arrival at Oakwood, she catches the attention of two of her classmates, Cash, and Ben, along with her professor, Xander Vaughn. She soon finds out that everything is not what it seems when she's drugged and wakes up in a pit. The chaos begins, as she and her fellow students have to fight for their lives, not for a spot at Oakwood, but for a spot at Bitterwood.

Chaos and madness ensue throughout the book. Students who break the rules are punished, as Remi, Cash, and Ben find out. Remi also has to deal with her roommate Bianca, who doesn't seem to like her. But the trials and tribulations they all go through will change their lives, and relationships with one another. And that cliffhanger!! I really enjoyed Bitter Rivals, and can't wait to find out what happens in the next book!

I was completely unprepared for this book. Holy shit. I’ve never read a book like this. Straight out the gates, I was on my back foot, trying to figure out where this was going.

The characters are extremely flawed. All of the men are very very messed up. Their inner monologues and attitudes towards their situations were completely backwards, but it was a dark romance, so that was to be expected. There are lots of triggers, so read carefully.

In the beginning, I was confused as to why the FMC held so much rage and hatred towards Bianca and Vaughn. It seemed petty, but considering her situation, I can understand where it came from. The sheer intensity of it straight out the gates was a bit confusing.

The trials were absolutely abhorrent. The trauma those people are going to experience is insane. It was like a mix between the hunger games and saw. Absolutely gruesome. Please read with caution.

The spicy scenes were good. Just know there was a lot of dub-con. There was degredation and a fair amount of sadism as well as Master/slave dynamics. I wish there was aftercare. It would’ve made those scenes much better. I wanted that other side to round everything out. I wanted that protection and cherishment. I’m all for a power exchange and submitting, but only for those who deserve it, and IMO they didn’t. They didn’t show that protective side that cared about more than just control over the FMC until the end, which was frustrating.

Holy crap this book…WOW!!! AMAZING!
This started off with action right away. I was hooked from the first line of the book. So much goes on to everyone at this school and we are still just learning stuff.
Remington is a strong willed smart girl and she shows that to us right off the bat. She doesn’t take crap from others and she does what she needs in order to get what she wants or ease the consequences of things.
She seems to attract a lot of people to her though which can either be good or bad depending on the person!
The professor has his own issues as well as Ben and Cashel. Finding out info about everyone while they compete in these horrible “games” to survive makes the ride a wild one!
I do not want to give a lot of info away so I am trying to be vague but if you love things like Hunger Games, The Purge and even Saw while also involving some spice you will like the concept of this book.

I will start saying that this cover won my heart, really.
If you like RH books, privilege guys, a school unusual, spicy and some triggers, well, this is the book.
The story starting with a, almost, hunger games... students fighting for their lives to win theirs place in this academy (scary? Maybe, but its a good starting). With this background, we are presented to the characters, the privilege ones, and how the whole thing: "fight foi your place" works.
Its a really good book and i courious about the next ones.

Dark, sadistic and twisted Hunger Games like academy romance. The challenges are brutal and how will Remi, Cash, Ben and Bianca survive? What is the end game for this academy for heirs? Lots of dark secrets and unanswered questions...I don’t know where this horrific book is heading next. But I’m fully invested and addicted to every crazy action. These four are stronger than they appear and only their humanity can get them killed. The guys are cutthroat and willing to do whatever it takes to survive and excel. Remi comes from an athletic family and as the baby, use to be underestimated. But she will do ANYTHING to prove herself worthy. Professor Vaughn is a mystery and definitely has a kink for being in charge. I can't wait to see what dark fate is in store next for all of these characters!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Their lust is toxic oxygen giving me breath, so I crawl to them desperate for more. My cravings are twisted, but so is this place. And I'll get my dark fix at Bitterwood Prep.

This is the first book in the Bitterwood Elite's. This is a dark reverse harem book and it will contain triggers for readers. You need to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book and heed them well. I read a lot and I do mean a whole lost of dark books but this book is on a whole other level. It has been a week since I finished this book and I'm not even really sure how I am going to write this book. When this book starts it starts from the moment you start chapter one till the end you are going to spend more time on the edge of your seat than you do relaxing and reading. My goodness, I have so many things I want to say and good gosh I can not type out a spoiler. I can tell you the calmest chapter in this book is where you learn about Cash and his family interactions and how his father wants him dead so he can be in control of the family business. Good gosh how in the world do you want your child dead. But he does and like I said it is the calmest chapter in the book. The characters are of the age where they have been out of school for a while and the only way you get into the most prestigious college is for them to send you a letter and tell you that you need to be at Oakwood Prep and you can imagine the excitement that is felt when they get those letters. Cash, Ben and Remi are three of the young guys and a girl who are going to this school and they are super excited about it too. Remi is one tough characters and she will absolutely steal your heart. This girl is tough and when she wakes up after going to bed at Oakwood Prep to find herself in a pit with a storm and fireworks raging she is shocked to learn that this is the trial and she is waking up in a whole other country in a totally different school ran by the most sadistic principle in the world. It's a fight for survival and there will be few survivors. Like I said this book is crazy but I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean that in a twisted turns here and there, shocking things happening every few pages and a Professor who is at the mercy of the principal and not by choice. He is attracted to Remi from the get go but she is roomed with Bianca who the Professor seems to have a really intense relationship with. But who is she and what are they to each other. Cash and Ben like I said are best friends and from the moment they see Remi they each say they have to have her. Own her, make her theirs individually or together It really doesn't matter to them. I can't say much more about this book. Other than that I loved it so much and to say I closed this book with my heart in my throat and my jaw on the floor!!! If you have experienced cliffhangers before then you know what your in for but this one was on a whole other level. I don't want to compare this book to the Hunger Games at all because that's not fair but it is kind of along those lines but on a much much more hardcore psycho level. This was absolutely a book that grabbed my attention from the blub but when I picked it up and started it I knew that I was going to not be putting it down. Sleep? Who needs it. Because when you are reading this book you will not even want to think about sleeping.

Well, that's one way to start a book! Holy moly the action is insane. This is some hunger games type of crazy, and OMG I am loving it! The rules are insane, the punishments are brutal, and the plot is thick... and I need more!

I went into this one relatively blind, and both of these amazing authors are new to me, so I had no idea what to expect... and let me tell you it was not this! This book was wild, bloody, violent, and filled with heart-stopping action. These two authors did such an amazing job of writing such vivid and immersive scenes, crazy twists and turns, and a whole lot of spice with three very well-written possessive, jealous, and controlling, alpha men, and one incredibly strong and badass female lead.

Although it is a RH romance this book is mainly setting the scene and the concept of Bitterwood Prep, you will get plenty of steam but don't go into it thinking you will get your typical love story - well not yet anyway.

This was such an amazingly dark read - definitely check those TW because there are some big ones! And I absolutely can't wait to see how the story and relationships develop from here. And that cliff-hanger... I need to know what happens NOW!

Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Steaminess: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

Tropes: Dark contemporary romance, Bully romance, reverse harem, student/teacher, enemies to lovers, academy setting

Triggers: dub con, murder, graphic violence, bullying, explicit sex and pain kink

POV: Multiple

Wow, that was some explosive and gory opening this story has. When I read the blurb, added it to my tbr and signed up for the ARC I obviously had no idea what I was in store for 😂 This story makes you question the characters humanity and they in turn question theirs and some may lose it. They are laid barred and are at times forced to turn off their emotions and rely on their baser Instincts. It's bloody and violent. The characters are stripped of their pride, forced to be vicious and their morals are most certainly questioned.

Our three male lead characters best friends Cashel and Bentley, as well as their newfound rival professor Xander Vaughn are rich, dominant, possessive, and savage assholes who are not afraid to take what or who they want and be conceited about it in general or towards each other. Remi our female character is a strong lead, and even though she is small and short and therefore easily underestimated she uses this to her advantage.

The story is fast burn in steaminess 🥵, but slow burn in the romance and reverse harem department. So don’t go in expecting feeling or a true reverse harem yet. The story is action paced with many twists and turns and there are still many dark secrets that needs to be revealed after the cliffhanger ending.

If you have ever wondered how the hunger games would turn out with characters from a rich instead of a poor background and with a reverse harem thrown into the mix, then you should pick up this new series.

As someone that doesn’t normally care for any form of dub or non con, this book is fabulous. I now see why people enjoy it. Just needed the right book.

At the start, I hated all of the guys. With a passion. But they grew on me and that ending!

This book is very much Hunger Games meets Bully Academy. Everyone thinks they’re going to this fancy Oakwood Prep. Then they wake up in a pit with explosions going off. They’re not in Kansas anymore. Or should I say California. This is a fabulous storyline that I haven’t read before and I’m all for it.

You WILL hate everyone at the start but don’t worry, it gets better! The various ‘games’ they have to go through are wonderfully thought out and a lot of fun (if you like violence, gore and death). Everyone is ruthless in their own ways and to see how each character deals with different events is neat.

As I mentioned above, this book does have dub con. If it’s not your thing, this might be a skip for you but if you power through some of that stuff there is such a great premise to a book. Its somewhat realistic (considering rich people can damn near get away with anything) and my only complaint would be there are some injuries that end up being forgotten about and stop bothering people for the most part.

I’m excited to see where this series takes us as it’s off to a great start. I want to see more games, more attachment and more gore. This is a fun but dark book.

WTF did I just finish reading! That was some kind of fucked up, brutal and gory Hunger Games like story, but 100% more conniving and vicious. It was extremely dark and twisted with some insanely erotic moments that will leave you a sopping mess with destroyed panties (honestly just don’t put any panties on while reading this). The first chapter had my mind completely blown. I was hooked, shocked and ready to be taken on one hell of a crazy and bloody rollercoaster ride.

The characters were devious, unhinged, murderous and very dangerous. The imagery and world building that is woven throughout this story had me instantly transported to this corrupt and intriguing world. I felt like I was part of the Gallery of spectators watching from above as the most heinous acts were carried out. And I freaking loved that about this story.

I was riveted to my seat, biting my nails like crazy with anticipation, squeezing my thighs together to relieve some of the ache and holding my breath over what was transpiring right before my eyes. It was filthy, bloody and titillating all at the same time.

Remi is one hell of a woman, who knows how to survive being thrown into the unimaginable. Every move she makes needs to be calculated and well thought out or she might lose more than her humanity. Cash, Ben, and professor, Xander Vaughn – these three men will soak your panties with all of their filthy kinky talk and make you combust with ultimate pleasure.

This story was brilliantly written with such intense emotions, blood, violence, secrets and dirty filthy men. After finishing this explosive story, I now need to pick my jaw up off the floor and applaud these two amazing authors on such an amazing story. I need more now.

Wow. This dark and delicious book was more than I could have ever hoped for. Well-written and completely captivating this sinister academy is what nightmares are made of, and I couldn't love the story more....

Remington/Remi, our fiesty FMC, has been underestimated her whole life. The youngest Radcliffe is small but mighty and will use her "underdog" appearance to her advantage - those who doubt her be damned. Seizing the opportunity to join the elite at Oakwood Prep, she has no idea what awaits her...

Cash and Ben. Long-time best friends who grew up together. The ultimate alphas - they're rich, angry and used to getting whatever they want no matter the casualties. Both accepted into the prestigious prep school, they plan to be the kings (and whatever turmoil they cause can be bought away)...

Professor Vaughn has demons of his own that we don't really understand. However, we do know his devious actions aren't of his own volition - he's protecting his family. Including Bianca, who was also accepted into the prep school....

Night One changes everything... Oakwood Prep is a facade. All students are drugged and forced through an obstacle course to enter Bitterwood Prep... the sinister school most will not ever leave... Will they learn to trust each other and be able to make it through? What is the Professor hiding? Who is pulling the strings behind this evil academy?

First, I LOVE the premise of this book. I read the blurb prior to reading and was intrigued, but the execution was perfection - the way everything played out was so intense. The character building was impeccable - the interactions, the intense build-up for some very steamy scenes, and the chemistry. Little Remi is in for a wild ride with her new admirers. Fair warning, there are some graphic scenes, and I cringed when reading what some of them have gone through.

I cannot wait for book 2 (oh, that cliffy made my head spin). I Highly Recommend this for any of you looking for a dark academy romance (if it's on your TBR, move it up... it's so good!) Do check the trigger warnings before reading this one!

Wow! Just really wow! This book was so freaking good! It was dark, steamy, fast-paced, full of action, and had twists and turns. It starts right as Remi and the rest of the students are waking up in the middle of a game created by a group of elites where not everyone is going to make it out alive and this book never slows down after that!

Remi appears to be this sweet and innocent looking very petite girl but little does anyone know that she is actually quite cunning, brave, and very strong. She is resilient and will do whatever it takes to survive this new horrific school she finds herself at. Cash and Bentley are not knights in shining armor by any means and are very used to being able to throw some money at every little inconvenience that befalls them…..except this new school doesn’t quite work like that and they find themselves forced to get their hands dirtier than they ever thought possible. Then there’s the mysterious Professor Vaughn….he is extremely dominating and we just get bits and pieces of who he really is and his backstory.

Mix all of these characters together and you get one angst filled story! All three of these guys are possessive and jealous and Remi is just trying to survive without risking her heart or getting too close to anyone as you never know who will survive the next twisted game.

The games they are forced to play are crazy and I give mad props to MJ and Loxley for their creativity with this book! The twist at the end and the cliffhanger had my jaw hanging open and wanting to re-read the book! If you think that a really dark, very steamy, reverse harem version of Hunger Games sounds interesting then definitely give this a read! You won’t regret it!

✨ ARC Review ✨

Bitter Rivals by M.J. Marstens & Loxley Savage

——————————————————

“Here, they’ll learn how fragile their prestigious lives really are, and that sometimes, rules aren’t made to be broken. To survive, they’re meant to be followed—to a T.”

——————————————————

⭐️: 4/5
🌶: 4.5/5

——————————————————

Take the warnings seriously - this book is dark! You could call it a death bowl instead of the Super Bowl. Absolutely no character was safe in this book.

Everyone in this story was absolutely nuts. Besides Remi (the FMC), every character was pretty much motivated by their naughty, naughty fantasies - whether the participants were willing or not. They were also motivated by seeing others in pain (thus this being a dark story).

I liked Remi a lot. She was pretty strong and confident for most the story. Definitely smarter than she lets on. Vaughn, honestly, he confused me. I look forward to learning more about him in future books. Ben and Cashel are extreme alphaholes. They believe themselves to be the top dogs and are willing to do whatever it takes to get whatever (or whomever) they want. And as for Bianca, my opinion of her is up in the air until future books.

All of that to say, this book was really good! So, if you’re looking for a dark, secret society romance that is looking to be headed in the direction of a reverse harem, go ahead and add Bitter Rivals to your TBR!
July 24, 2022
Remi comes from money and is expected to attend an elite academy called Oakwood Prep that is only for the richest heirs and heiresses. However, when everyone awakens the first day in a 20 foot deep pit being bombed and told they must complete a deadly obstacle course to get to the school, Bitterwood Prep,or they will die, she realizes something has gone wrong. Principal Windsor has found a way to make money by turning the most prestigious school into a battle ground where the powerful votes on who lives and dies. Remi is determined to survive, all her life she has been underestimated. This is no different. So she bides her time and plays the game. What she didn't expect was her attraction to the dominating Professor Vaghn, Bentley, and Cashel. Will they be the key to her survival or her undoing?
Bitter Rivals blew my mind! I was hooked within the first few pages. M J Marsten and Loxley Savage set a dark and foreboding tone within the first chapter that leaves readers stunned and craving more! This book is dark and depraved and not for the faint of heart. The authors shine a light on humanity and what happens as you strip it away and the things one becomes willing to do to survive. Remi finds sometimes you have to submit to survive and scarier yet she might just like it!
This is a dark romance with quite a few triggers; violence, gore, non consent and dub consent just to name a few . I highly suggest you read the warnings before reading. The romance is rough and raunchy but also super spicy and sexy. The characters have a Primal need to possess and this comes across with the lines blurring between pain and pleasure.
I give Bitter Rivals 5 out of 5 stars. If you like romance that is dark, dirty, and pressing the boundaries you will love this book. It is action packed, filled with mysteries, secrets, violence and sex and will take you on one hell of a ride!

I know that this is a series, but to me a series needs to answer some questions and not let us completely in the dark, like what is the pupose of this "game"?, how did it come to be?, how are these rich kids dying left and right and nothing is happening to Windsor? Does this kids parents are in on the "game"? nad again what is the purpose of the "game"?

I don't know, the begining was good, but I became bored towards the middle. I also don't know how I feel about Vaughn because one he's older than the other two boys and it is a pet peeve of mine when a member of the harem has big age gap from the others and two his love for Remi was too much of an insta love and I don't really like this.

I also don't like the type of boys that keep saying "first name 'fucking' last name" like they think too much of themselves but don't really show what they're capable of, and Ben and Cash have too much this energy. I don't really liked the boys and it is a problem ight?! because I should like the love interests.

I liked Remi, honestly her level of badass was refreshing because she wasn't exaclty rude, she was smart and knew how to act.

I think that the author should warn about the FF scene, you know it isn't really everyone's cup of tea and it is a RH book with no mention of having another female on it and it did put me off the book because the scene came out of nowhere and it didn't add anything to the story.

“So much has been taken from me already in a world that tries to bend me to its will, but I refuse to give up.”

Bitterwood Prep isn’t a place where the weak survive - it’s the tomb where they go to die. Students are forced to endure one sick game after another in order to survive. But Remi is willing to do just about anything to come out on top, despite the constant underestimation. But when Cash, Ben & Professor Vaughn want her body, mind and soul, is Remi willing to give that up?

“How do you ever become human again when it’s been stripped from you?”

Bitter Rivals is Hunger Games meets dark academia with so many twists and turns! I love a good bully romance with a strong-willed heroine! This one was packed with so much action, poor students did not get a break. The authors weren’t kidding when they said this was a DARK romance, definitely not one to go in blind to! I liked this a lot and can’t wait to read the next one because that cliffhanger had me at the edge of my seat!

Note: check TW/CW! This is Book 1 of an ongoing series. This book contains a reverse harem relationship, violence & themes that are not suitable for everyone.

Thank you to M.J. Marstens, Loxley Savage and Peachy Keens for this ARC copy. This review was written honestly & voluntarily based on my own enjoyment of the book.

Such An Awesome Start To Series!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review

Oh my goodness this book was not at all what I had thought it would be when I first read the blurb about it. But it was 100% awesome all the same. Not a single dull uneventful on the edge of your seat moment about this book.

Can you imagine heading off to college and then waking up one day having to fight to survive and be the best of the best. That is exactly how Remi and the two arrogant men, who push their way into her life with threats and propositions to do unimaginable things to her body mind you lol, Cash and Ben find themselves. Then there is Xander her professor another man who makes her feel alive even though he acts like he can’t stand to breathe the same air as her. But things are not as they seam and each and every one of them has secrets you can’t wait to see revealed.

This book has so many twists and turns to it you can’t help but stay up all night reading to find out what happens next. Not to mention the hot moments between the guys and Remi. Those alone will keep you on the edge fanning yourself. But that ending definitely left me feeling WTF!!! Beware it’s one heck of a cliffhanger and I seriously can’t wait for the next book to find out what happens to Remi and the guys. Highly recommend this book!!

Bitterwood leaves a Bittertaste

This book is definelty a dark book. It's sick and twisted. Other then we already know about chashel dad being part of it. I wonder if any other parents just sent their kids their or know about it. Because Remi has 4 older brother that went there. When did it turn in to Bitterwood or why. Wouldn't this guy think the parent friends family would try to talk to them or atleast at some point come home for the holiday or at some point. This whole is confusing and the whole purpose of it. I mean money and power really. These kids probably had as much or all together more then him so im confused and now he is fixated on Remi which is sick by the way. The professor was already to much for me cause if he is older to me that's sick. I thought maybe he was in his 20s but I dont think he is. That's unsettling to me but hey it's not about me age gaps is some people's trope just not mine. Myself personally found it hard to read thise parts but with Cashel and Ben I didn't . I'm not sure how many are in this series but since he killed nearly everyone. I cant imagine there being more than that. But I have a feeling it's not going to be good. I hope they kill him but ik that won't happen for awhile so idk. Read at your own risk. It's really good if you like Dark books. Author did a great job

idk

I don’t know how anyone read this and enjoyed it. I don’t know how I managed to finish it except I wanted to know who Bianca was to Vaughn, you won’t know until the epilogue. Bentley and Cashel are terrible individuals but somehow at about 85/90% then they realize that Remi’s autonomy and willingness is important, though they never do anything after that thought all the spice habits while they’re still threatening assault. Professor Vaughan isn’t actually a teacher because it’s not actually a school, so it doesn’t matter the teacher student trope but there is still a power dynamic even if he’s there against his will. The guards of the school are gross. The “principal” is gross. How you can take a bunch of the world’s elite’s heirs and kill them off for sport makes not sense. Imagine if district 1 and the capital competed, I guess - but it’s not a competition but a crazy man’s concept of a good time. I genuinely feel like the authors and the people that enjoyed this book should be put on a list in case a future crime happens.

Read the trigger warnings first, this book is not for everyone.
The story is quite unpredictable since it contains unexpected sick games which are dark and sinister. It’s a reverse harem so smut is on point and spicy but with darkness. The story is easy to understand but difficult to follow through emotionally. The concept of the story is interesting and is good to see how it turns out and takes shape. All the riches in hell are of no value when you have to save your back.

Remi is my favourite character from the book, the way she handles the situation thrown on her face is appreciated. The boys are arrogant and bossy, true pricks but likable in some way or another. They have their own qualities that make them attractive in spite of the bully they are. The story ends in a cliffhanger and that piques my interest to know what comes next since this book is literally a pure roller coaster ride. I seriously want to see the boys making true to their promises of revenge.

*****Trigger Warning**** This is for adults who are 18+ but lets be more real, more like 21+. The Author mentioned the trigger warnings and if subject matters of violence, young adults trying to survive the obstacles other adults betted against them is not your thing. Then stop right here and do go past go!!

I needed to edit my original review. Because there is too much to say that may spoil the book. Soooo, All I am gonna say is this book is absolutey not to be underrated at all! This is suspensful with a lot of holding breathe tbat the characters get through their obstacles to stay a live. Nothing should be over looked. And omg this reverse harem has thr plot with some many twist and turns and hot AF adult times. And a Psychotic Principal (which at a university, wouldnt it be a Chancellor?) that needs to be brought down… I can’t wait for the 2nd book. I have to many questions that need answers.
